Re: Boris Johnson
I am not in favor of the Government dictating clothing types. I do think that veils should be removed where anyone else is required to show their face in order to make a positive id, like banks, schools, shopping malls etc, and there should not be exceptions on any grounds. This actually came up in ...

Re: Modems and Routers?
Hi Cookie, You can use your router, either connected via the cyta/primetel router if you connect via landline. Most, if not all the cyta infrastructure if FTTC now, plus if you need more speed the new CYTA routers offer "bonding" where 2 lines can be used to double the speed. This is not a...

Hi, I have decided to not renew a customers subscription, due to breach of our terms and conditions Sections 5.3. I did tell the customer I did not want them as a customer anymore - it could be from them. If any other ISP's look at this page, please avoid them. If any of my competitors wish to PM me...

OMG - I forgot that petrol and oil products come from the EU - I thought the North Sea, MIddle East, US and Russia provided most - how wrong I was! I was also unaware that medicines all came from the EU - I thought that places like Cambridge had many of the drug companies based - how wrong I was! As...

Thanks Guys,
I have checked Tenerife, Spain, Mallorca, France and Turkey, none are reporting any issues tonight.
It seems to be limited to primetel customers only.

I will ask my agents if there are any problems in other countries, as I have not had any reports of any issues with holitec or cyta customers, just Primetel.

question regarding internet speeds
Hi All, I have a question regarding internet speeds. I am considering providing 50 and 100Mbit connections, although I have 100Mbit at home, I do not really use it to its full extent. It is great for downloading updates and new software. Is it really worth me upgrading all my nodes to provide this, ...

If you are looking at a switch on/off service, only CYTA or the wireless providers offer this. If you need a permanent connection PM me, as depending on your needs I can do up to 50MB upload and a fixed IP address for CCTV, CTYA offer a max 4MB - for cameras none of the ADSL providers can offer this...

Brian and Cheryl are excellent, I had some customers in today who wanted a different system that fitted their requirements better- they gave them a refund on their subs, and I found them another supplier that suited their needs. They have had a difficult time, and have responded well. I was very imp...

Trouble is it seems to have been the best one. Do all the others have a massive library of films, access to all utubes, radio, catch up including catch up on all Sky Movies? Top I know of at least one portal with 600 channels and over 20,000 movies and box sets. I think the cost is about the same a...

Re: SOS TV
to be fair, S, SOS and others are only agents, they do not supply the service - only one service provider has been effected, but with several agents all over the island. If they had not had custom software on their boxes and set the portal to their own, they could have redirected the portal to anoth...

Re: SOS TV
Austin7/darrow, I am not certain the MAG system works like that. The portal can run on one server, and the streams can come from any other server. If the portal is down (connection problem) then it is either being upgraded (and you probably would have received a message warning you about this as the...

Re: SOS TV
I think the lesson to be learned is to buy a factory box, or get the existing box factory defaulted -and only use a open supplier. After all, how long will the new suppliers last? A Week, Month, 6 months? At least with the knowledge you can change providers, in the "whack a mole" game you ...

Re: SOS TV
The question is why do people buy a box locked to one provider? If you buy your own box, MAG or Android and have the ability to simply change the source/provider at will - and it is easy to do. Pay monthly, if you have to pay at all, and if a provider gets blocked etc, simply use google for a new pr...
