No response to this post? We too would like to find someone to be keyholder and only visit when requested, rather than having a full standard management service.

Re: Transferring funds UK to Cyprus.
I use Revolut or Wise. Can either send from them to Cyprus bank, or use their account using Euros. If it weren't for the hassle of it I would ditch my Cyprus bank, not really necessary these days I use Wise. Would also ditch my Cypriot bank but concerned that some rule or other will change and I’d ...

Re: Perfect weather today producing electricity ....
if you only look at the EAC meter you will not be recording any self consumption of electricty. Self consumption is electrity generated by the modules and used by you before it is exported to the grid. It is entirly possible for you to generate say 17 units in a day, self consume say 7 and your EAC...

Re: Perfect weather today producing electricity ....
Thanks for the clarification Max....but the reason I take reading from the AIK meter is simply because that's the one that matters re the Electricity bill that drops through the door.... This week, according to the AIK meter , was the first time since 24th November that input to the grid, from the P...

Re: This terrible earthquake could be the end of Erdogan (Telegraph)
There are no building inspectors here, so whether contractors follow the code is entirely up to them, I think. And the moment the walls are closed, all omissions are concealed. I would be happy to be told I am wrong. Our house was built in 2000.

Tree rats
We seem to have a tree rat or something similar living in our mature Italian Cypress. Whatever it is is gnawing at the branches and we find them on the ground each morning. We bought poison pellets from Plantfix and attached them to the trunk, but they have remained untouched. We fear this animal wi...

Most effective angle for PV panels
The PV panels on our roof are angled towards the south by around 15%. The original angle was greater but our architect said we had to reduce it to get planning approval after construction. Our daily harvesting has declined by half from its peak in the summer. Is this normal? To what extent does the ...

Re: Power cuts and net metering
When power is restored, sometimes our PV panels start working immediately (feeding the grid) but sometimes the entire system has been tripped and must be restarted by flipping the PV system switch in the meter box. When we were away last spring, we lost several days of electricity generation because...
