Ooh ahh, Trev, you aren't the only one who has forgotten, I use the form, but left it at home accidentally. And yes, I have also forgotten on occasion to put my mask on before leaving the car. Not proud of this but I find that I am getting more and more forgetful.... I wish that the SMS/ form B perm...

Re: Big military Israeli exercise in Cyprus
It would be interesting to see missile boats and Warships shuttled to Nicosia being somewhat land locked! Equally they probably would create a bit of interest if docked at Limassol between any visiting cruise ships... Cyprus usually has periodic exercises held in Cyprus with the Israelis in the summ...

Re: Deportations
Yes, I remember that figure of Brits either with old, outdated documents or those who had avoided Immigration perhaps. But that must have been an approximate number I suspect. In the 'old days' prior to Cyprus joining the EU, the BHC had a different system, Brits living here were encouraged to notif...

Re: Just A Quickie Please !
Can't comment on why the phone lines are overloaded. Seems strange, About a week ago, I called in at the Citizens Advice office, Butcher Boy Rd, It was a morning when rain was forecast and to my surprise the office was much quieter than I expected. I queued outside, just me and one other. Then as a ...

Why all the question marks after the University of Warsaw? It's a fact that the Universities of Warsaw and Krakow have been coming to Cyprus for a number of years to work on the UNESCO Heritage site near Paphos Harbour. They have been coming every summer usually during the students summer holidays i...

Re: Hospitality - The secret to success
At the end of the day, personal common sense must prevail! So much of what we read relates to a greater or lesser extent to risk of pickng up the virus. Wearing of a clean mask on all outings from home, frequent washing of hands, disinfecting door handles, trying to maintain social distancing when o...

Re: Visitors from United Kingdom (and other countries) from April 1st
Cyprus badly needs the revenue and so is encouraging tourists to come here.
But it has quite a lot of Covid cases at present, mostly in Limassol.
I hope that visitors to the island will have had their vaccinations (2jabs) before coming here.

My neighbours told me that they haven't been vaccinated. They are careful and considerate people, but never the less I think that people here will avoid contact until the end of their quarantine period.

Re: No police officer to face charges after missing women turned up murdered
I'm sure that many of us remember the facts of this grizzly case, at the time it was absolutely shocking and sickening that the police had failed in their duty to investigate all these cases of missing women and children. They should have acted much quicker and had they done so, maybe some of those ...

We had a double bowl; single drainer sink fitted on top of the granite work top.
It was fine. I think that its a matter of taste which way the sink is fitted.

My dentist didn't go to such lengths, but the first time I went after the first lockdown, my temperature was taken, we all wore masks and patients had to wear disposable gloves. The dental surgery is very clean and all surfaces are wiped down between patients. My dentist wears full ppi.

Re: From Paphos To Coral Bay
I remember hearing a very elderly lady saying that she remembered the Coral Bay Rd, when it was a dusty track passing through banana and citrus plantations. There was virtually no traffic apart from working donkeys carrying loads and people toiling in the fields and plantations..

Here, my neighbour lives in a semi detached town house, They are allowed to go outside in their garden. So we can converse over the fence, socially distanced ++wearing masks!

Re: Coronavirus: Latest five elderly Covid deaths were unvaccinated
I remember reading in the local paper that when a team of vaccinators visited a care home, the majority of the residents decided to take the vaccine, but several refused it on grounds which included a fear of injections. ie needles and syringes.

Re: Post Office form
True, but in the past that customs declaration was a simple green coloured form which was given to you, when sending a parcel. It was produced by the post office. Nothing like the long winded and potentially confusing specimen that needs to be produced by the customer. What will happen if the person...
