Not sure if there is an official club, but during the summer there are frequent boules "matches" (not sure how competitive they are) near the monastery - just past the sharp right turn at the cat sanctuary. No official signs, I'm afraid. You may have to ask around.

Many thank, fellow forum-users, and esp. Geoffreys for the detailed answer. Looks promising - the cost looks similar on an annual basis to iportal and the presence of a UK hub is very important.

I don't know where they have moved to but the garden centre in Kissonerga/Emba a few hundred meters west of, and on the same side of the road as little Paps sells red lava rock.
