Re: Divine retribution?

My cat, unfortunately, has a penchant for bringing in live mice and letting them go in the house. I am now really skilled at catching them, either by hand or in a humane trap and putting them back outside, sometimes by putting my hand with caught mouse back through the cat flap at 3am! No matter how...

Re: Manchester Arena bombing

My daughter's friend travelled from Scotland to Manchester for this concert. Thankfully she is shaken but OK. I cannot begin to imagine how the families of those killed, injured or missing must feel, it is just horrific. There are several people on Facebook offering to travel down to Manchester from...

Re: Brady

At last, a reasoned, but short, comment. (and I'm not being sarcastic). We should be trying to find out why Brady, West etc. acted like they did - a gene problem etc.? Glad to see the back of the man, but hanging etc. does not solve the long term issue of why people act so abominably. If we could f...

Breathalyser

A car I was a passenger in, was waved down to stop by a policeman outside the Damon Apartments. The policeman put a breathalyser in the window and asked the driver to blow. All was fine as he hadn't been drinking and we were waved on. What I am wondering is, do the police change the mouthpiece betwe...

Re: over 80 driving licence

When my Mum was in her late 80s, I became aware that she was getting confused, which included not always knowing where she was, but she was still driving and I was worried that she was a risk to herself and others. I tried talking to her about it but she insisted she was fine. I mentioned my concern...

Re: Returning goods to a store

I bought bedding in Lidl and when I cam to use it on Wednesday the quilt cover seam hadn't been stitched at the bottom
Isn't that seam always open so you can get the quilt inside? 😄

Having a friend who sadly passed away because her tumour wasn't spotted in time, this is really useful information - thank you.

I was really happy to be able to join this site so quickly after the disappointment of CL closing. Fingers crossed it turns out to be as successful.
