Re: Trump holding May's hand
The hand holding was a bit cringey and May has a habit of looking awkward with people but really that's the least of the worries with Trump. Just over a week in and one of his executive orders is suspended by a judge amidst more protests. One things for sure - it's not going to be a dull four years....

Re: Pound/ Euro
No one even knows how many people have arrived here - official estimates say 300,000 net per annum but the number may be a lot higher. You cannot plan anything if you have no idea how many people are arriving legally entitled to free education for their kids, subsided housing and free health care (...

Re: Pound/ Euro
It occurs to me that the Government got a very clear signal last June that the majority of the public want to see a decrease in net migration. So what has the government implemented to reduce immigration from non-EU countries? Well i'm not sure the vote translates to the majority wanting to see a d...

Re: Pound/ Euro
Steve I think you're dead right, it wasn't about economics, for me it was about control of immigration and regaining the right to make our own laws. I'm no racist far from it, but we in the UK could see that we are unable to sustain the levels of spending on a ever growing population... I understan...

Re: Pound/ Euro
The vote to leave had little to do with economics- it was all about sovereignty. There is a world of difference between sensible border controls and racism Great so the vote wasn't about economics - instead let's potentially damage the economy for years to come on the basis of sovereignty and some u...

Re: UK Supreme Court Decision Today (24/01)
I agree Royal - what was the point of giving people the power to make a decision on the EU via a referendum only to insist on having that power back to implement it - that makes very little sense. The people were not given the power to make the decision as far as I can see from what has been reveal...

Re: Trump gets tough on terrorists
Is the UK Govt. able to use information gleaned from the use of torture?
Does anyone believe that the west was helped and became safer after the details of the
events at Abu Ghraib were revealed?
Cheers

Re: Why Do I Need To Keep Logging In ?
Nope - been away from that browser and gone back to Chrome, it still asked for the login :-/ Ah well in that case you might have to take the technical approach - give it a jolly good kick ;-) Not sure then - the changes seem to have solved the issue for some but this one may remain a computer myste...

Re: Cobalt airline
I had been involved in a RTC in Cyprus whilst on my morning bike ride, seven broken ribs, broken clavicle, broken shoulder blade and a collapsed lung. Due to the collapsed lung, could not fly for a further four weeks, Cobalt refunded our payment in full and sent us a very nice e mail wishing me a s...

Hi Jackie,
You will have to log in first and then when you come back it should be set ok -
unless that's what you did and I was wrong... which is a distinct possibility

Jersey - together with the "darkies" comment I am not sure whether you are trying to
shock, think it's funny or simply have forgotten what century you are in.
It's sad but not funny!

Re: Why Do I Need To Keep Logging In ?
Err, I always disable auto logins ........... isn't that one of the ways hackers can get in & pinch your passwords? Shane Not pinch, more circumvent. IE, if they get your laptop they won't need to log on. However, they won't be able to see what your password is. Even if you come to change it, t...

Suicide victim’s widow calls for justice
Suicide victim’s widow calls for justice The widow of a British suicide victim is calling for institutions in the UK and Cyprus to be brought to account in connection with the Cyprus property mis-selling scandal that has devastated the lives of so many. On Sunday 8th January 2017 Philip Davies trag...
