Re: Water Cooler Bottles

AndrewA wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2017 10:08 am Can somebody please tell me where the best place to buy bottled water for a water cooler is?
Most of the Kiosks store the bottles in the open, some even in the Sunshine. I would not buy from them!
Best place are the large supermarkets with a proper storage room.

You sure you need planning permission? I have the panels for pool pump, great result.... Could you perhaps post a photo of your solar pool pump PV panels installation please, Dave? It might help Peter (and others) find an easier and less expensive way forward... Thanks- AL :) Alan, plenty infos fro...

Re: Photovoltaics are the way to go.. Article CMail 30.8.17

Are there any projects in Cyprus like commercial PV facilities or windfarms which a private investor could invest in? Jeba The topic was about PV contra to wind power. Why do you think that anybody wants to invest in a wind park when it is proved that it is not economical.? :x We don't have the win...

Considering this. Would welcome PMs of recommendations. I know there are about 3 companies listed on here.... As the investment is for a long period of time (panels last > 40 years) I would recommend not to choose the cheapest offer. Ask for the so called Optimizer, which improve your production of...

If one stays only at home it is just a waste a time to be in Cyprus as there is so much to explore.. ;) Max Absolutely. Every time we are there, we find new things to see and do. We keep meaning to go towards Limassol, Nicosia etc etc but to be honest, there is still so much to see on our doorstep ...

The wind park at Kouklia is only a show off from the Government with the intention to prove that Cyprus is doing something for the Environment. My understanding is that the Orites Wind Farm in Kouklia has always been privately owned: originally by an entrepreneurial businessman and more recently by...

Yes, agree with you Max. Before I was able to have my PV 3kwp net metering panels installed there was much form filling required by EAC, plus payment of what as I think of as a premium in order to be granted a license, plus a wait for several months. They seem very unwilling to grant these licenses...

It is certainly fun exploring the rocks, but I have no idea what most of your post meant I am afraid. :) When I was at Uni I shared a house with a load of Geologists at the Royal School of Mines. They would have loved it here. In between their visits to the bar they would have had a whale of a time...

Very nice pics Dominic, I like the one with the "sleeper" as it is so typical for the relaxing way Cypriots cope with the Summer heat. Thirty years ago or so, many locals slept like this sheepherder in the countryside. I also like the rock with the crystals ( I hope you don't give it a nam...

Seem to remember a thread some time ago when it was said that you should never put Tablets in the skimmers as the chlorine concentration was bad for the joints and the pipework. I use granules, much better control and in the winter, when the pump isn't on so much, Tablets in a floater. Aargent You ...
