Re: Furniture
IKEA sofas are go far better value and quality than those in a lot of the furniture shops in Paphos as I can testify having replaced some that were only 3 years old for our tenant last summer. They, mostly have removable machine washable covers, which can also be purchased separately for many style....

Food Vacuum Sealer
Does anybody know of any stores in Paphos that stock the bags, or the cut to size rolls, for a food vacuum sealer? I know they are occasionally in Lidl, usually when they have the machines for sale, but none at the moment.

Re: MEU 3
Completely agree with you Trevor, it’s an awful building. Having reached our 5 years in December I was glad to get an MEU3 in 3 weeks flat. The prospect of going to that place again even in 10 years time was enough to motivate me to get in ASAP. It’s so cramped they’ve got the entrance door on the s...

Thanks Jeanne, I use this site a lot but somehow missed the subscription option - had 4 already this afternoon and you can choose to receive them in Greek or English.

Re: Compulsory Covid Test
Am I the only one who actually reads the announcements the government makes? They have been very clear that for those returning to worksin 1st must have a rapid test by 31st and depending on the number of employees in a business, all, or a percentage of employees of those returning to work next week...

Re: Passport Renewal
We renewed one of our passports online last summer. From starting the process online, posting the original and getting the new and old one back at at the DHL office was 3 week as Bromerzz experienced as well. Text messages were sent to us to provide updates at each stage, we’ve revived it, we’re pre...

Re: Outstanding Illustrated Maps of Paphos
Plus, outside of Butcher Boy Road, itself now redundant, I don't think many people could name many of the roads anyway. Some of their names are huge. So does the unofficial name of a road move to another road when the business it’s named after moves to a new location😂? Or is that now New Butcher Bo...

Re: Outstanding Illustrated Maps of Paphos
Very nice, one for my shopping list. To my inexpert eyes street addresses would detract massively from the intended aesthetic. This is art, not Google maps.

Re: Access to Troodos controlled by Police
We were out walking on the coastal path yesterday. Couldn't help noticing that people were walking in groups without masks and no thought about social distancing... It seems as if despite all Govt attempts to make people aware of the need to do both the message just isn't getting through to where i...

https://g.co/kgs/vocqp8 The post office opposite M&S all those buildings were closed for a refurb and moved to Anavargos, I don't think that it reopened but if you live down in that area the one at kato Paphos will be the nearest. How far back are you going Uncle D? We used the little one near ...

Re: DRY Ginger Ale
Fentimans ginger beer, which is my favourite, is in Papantoniou and, I think, Alpha Mega. Pretty certain I’ve seen Canada Dry ginger ale in one or both of them at some stage in the past.

Max, haven’t put any heating on yet, can’t get much greener than that! Ian I wonder if it is cold enough at Polemi to run any form of heating now ? :) My outdoor temperature at the moment here (midday) is only 8.9c,(same sea level than Polemi), but saying that if I look at my neighbours house, thei...

Re: How is Cyprus Doing With the Vaccine Roll Out ?
But at what risk to peoples mental health, particularly to people living on their own? Shutting people up on their own for weeks and weeks isn't good for anyone. At least in the UK single people can form a 'bubble' with one other person. As it is the only human contact afforded to them here is that...

Driving Licence Decree

If you're a resident and plan to stay in Cyprus for longer than 6 months, you mu...
