Re: Bridge Over The Channel

I think its a Brilliant idea, and engineering wise , there are already longer bridges out there..there would be a tunnel halfway along . so not to trouble shipping...Private financing could build it, drivers using it paying a toll,....it would be a fantastic build....I cant belive some of the negat...

Re: NHS treatment for ExPats

Surely a simple answer to these "health tourists" would be a charge of say 50 - 70% pre payment as the cost should be known if only approximately. , Not emergency cases like accidents or similar, but those who deliberately come to the UK for treatment but never pay the bill. And even those...

Re: So, the DUP suddenly becomes the most powerful party in present Europe

I agree totally with comments about the weakness of the UK government. I think it sad that Conservative rebels, Corbyn's Labour Party, Sturgeons SNP and the rest cannot stand behind the PM and the UK negotiating team and to get the best for our country, not best for them. However I stand by my post ...

Re: So, the DUP suddenly becomes the most powerful party in present Europe

...the border issue is not impossible to solve, between Eire and the U.K... but it is being used cynically as a bargaining chip by the EU.... Not so, it is Ireland who is saying they will not accept a hard border between it and Northern Ireland. Of course the EU backs Ireland's position, as it has ...

Re: BREXIT - Walk Away!!

The sad thing about all this is that the UK under May and her government are being brow beaten into submission by HiC's beloved EU which, over the months since the vote, has show itself to be a bullying, blackmailing, totally undemocratic entity, which is hell bent on punishing the UK for wanting o...

Re: So, what of the £350 million a week for the NHS?

Your beloved EU has shown to me that it is run by a bunch of thieves. The UK owes the EU only what was agreed in 2013, but as your EU realises the huge hole it will see in its (non existent) accounts which it will not be able to claw back from most if not all of the member states, when the UK finall...

Thanks for the replies and also the post from August. We contacted Abbeygate in the UK and explained we had 5 year NCB cert from their Paphos office and how much for a 2004 registered Volkswagon Golf, that we were going to use. Car Insurance No Claims Bonus

Can anyone who has returned back to the UK, but is still a member on here, tell me if they took any form of No Claims Bonus certificate back from their Cyprus Insurers, and if so, was the certificate honoured when they got car insurance back in the UK? If yes, can you advise the name of the insuranc...

Do you know what that word means?

...in 1970s UK I voted to join a Common Market to promote duty and tax free trade between 7 (including the UK) countries. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the EU does that very effectively, but now with duty and tax-free trade between 28 member states. You'll find to your cost what this means if and wh...

I dont think walking away is an option, if you go down that route, then your no better then a third World banana republic, only the legal route is the option for a serious country Other than paying what the UK has agreed to pay between now and 2019 less any rebates, of course, the "divorce bil...

Re: Labour Party a "Government in Waiting" - JC

Not the British public, the labour party conference had a song, not a song a chant for your esteemed leader, Panoscouse. And that was a copy of a chant for a darts player. By all means let's vote in your leader and almost count the hours until our country becomes a basket case with debts that dwarf ...
