Re: How much the state pension is going up next year revealed - as retired Brits get another inflation-busting rise
Varky.of course it's a Ponsi scheme and thank your lucky stars you're as old as you are cos it's only going to get worse. Hence why the government is trying to make sure everyone has their own pension plan from now on.... We'll see how that works.... As for other countries...well it is what it is an...

That will buy us all by then a cup of Joe...or maybe not. Exactly! Percentagewise it sounds a lot, but 2.4% of sod all is still sod all. I have to admit I get a tad annoyed when I read comments like these. If I were you I would just be grateful you still get these increases. Yes, you paid your NI C...

Re: Paphos Water
Normally when we come out we buy a pack of water then refill from drinking tap and stick in the fridge. All was as usual until last Saturday (I think) when it tasted a bit fusty so we went back to the bottled stuff. First time that's happened.
Staying by the harbour as we usually do.

Lloyd,,,what usual scams?
I've been exchanging money at the Pink House 3/4 times a year for the last 5 years and never had a problem.
Would you care to PM me where you had this unfortunate experience please?

Re: Could this possibly be seen as a hint of good news?
Dominic I'm not suggesting otherwise, we were disagreeing (as usual😂) what the actual exchange rate is. Jim Jim you live here, I'm not quite sure where but you have been a member on here long enough to know from other members' postings that the best exchange for tourists is down by the harbour. Why...

Re: Upgrade offer from Cobalt
My sentiments when I first saw the offer. Imagine how much you pay for all these add-ons, per flight , with EJ and Ryanair. [/quote] Quite but not being funny, the thought "if it sounds too good to be true, it may not be" has crossed my mind. Hence the interest in your thoughts after the t...

FWIW Hudswell, wife and I didn't bother vote in UK general elections either for around two decades prior to leaving the UK. Our choice.
No doubt you knew better.

Re: Hillborough Police Chief NOT being prosecuted
I see what you're saying Hudswell but.....the day after he must have.
It seems his main aim from that point on was to cover his back.
I don't understand why you're even attempting to argue in his favour...

You can understand why the Mayor want's to ban Stag do's etc.
Bad enough in their own city/town but to happen when on holiday it's so sad.
Full details not known of course but if true it was 12 to one. Just feel so sorry for the young lad and his family
I'd be heartbroken if it was my son.
