Re: S1 Form holder in Cyprus - EHIC still valid.
Are you referring to the Cyprus Medical Card which is (usually) valid for 5 years? Ours are renewed even though we have E121 forms which have been superseded by the S1 form. People have been renewing them at the CSC but perhaps worth an email (info@gesy.org.cy) or phone call (Tel 17000) to GESY to f...

Re: Sick Pay
One business I know eventually received a payout from the government from the lockdown early last year - and used it to pay their Social Insurance. The bills don't stop coming in even when little or no business is coming in. From comments I have read over the years, people who usually get paid benef...

Re: Extra charge to receive money from a UK bank account?
Just been checking a couple of banks and a few interesting points: Alpha Bank has been charging €2 per transaction when a currency exchange company is used for some years if the amount is above €2000. Hellenic charges €15 if the sum is above €15,000 from 2nd February from a non SEPA country, a categ...

Re: Medical records
Are we permitted to collect the old records from the relevant hospital / clinic ? We have all our paper records from Paphos General Hospital - in fact years ago patients were advised to keep them. Prior to GESY we sometimes used private hospitals so we also have their records of diagnoses and tests.

Account of having the Covid vaccination at Paphos Hospital
By an 80 year old Tala Resident ''It really was a doddle. I had taken a walking stick, folding chair, a good book, flask of tea and a sweater, envisaging a long walk from the nearest available parking at the Paphos General Hospital, a long slow moving queue out of doors (as seen on tele in news clip...

Re: Problem trying to get vaccine appointment
Where at the General do you have to go, which entrance ? I read earlier on FB today that you go to the main entrance and when inside take the right corridor past where you purchase stamps and make appointments and it is a room near the orthopaedic clinic. One person said it was where she had her fl...

Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
You can walk on the beach, in parks, and in linear parks. This begs the question: what is a linear park? I assumed it was a bad translation. I was wrong. From Wikipedia: A linear park is a park in an urban or suburban setting that is substantially longer than it is wide.[note 1] Some are rail trail...

Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
It is a shame we cannot use the countryside to walk in and must use areas that are likely to be busy. I would have preferred areas where I was not likely to bump into anybody. Why not? I haven't read anything specific about banning people from the countryside and yesterday people were driving out t...

Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
Reading many comments on this on FB and overall it appears you can go for exercise anywhere within your district in the areas that are permitted.
Only people from Nicosia district can go to another district in order to swim in the sea.
