Re: Paphos Smart Parking
Thanks Ams. Where do I find the list? On the website I guess! It came up on the app itself when it told me my password is incorrect. That included a message telling me when I needed to include (can't remember exactly, but say minimum of 8 characters, 1 cap, 1 number and 1 special character, then it...

Re: Paphos Smart Parking
For several days I have been trying to sign up and register but cannot get accepted. The password I enter is not accepted even though I am composing it as instructed, the same with the user name and my telephone number is described as invalid. I'm stuck. Anyone else had this experience? Also has an...

Re: Paphos Smart Parking
I used the new smart parking app on Saturday and it worked fine. I'd put some money in my 'wallet' on the app and used that. When I parked I entered the number from the parking place, then when I left, used the app again to end my parking. So I was charged for the amount of time parked (85c). Yes, y...

Re: Paphos Smart Parking
Just looking at it from a different point of view... I recently had to pay €2.50 for parking that cost €1.70. But the machine only accepted exact change, which I did not have. I put a €2 coin in thinking 'oh well, I'll lose 30c because it won't give me change, but never mind'. But no, the machine wo...

If you get a quote, can you share it please? I'm curious now, as swimming is my favourite exercise.

Re: NO SWALLOWS
I have 3 nest in my patio this year, in Anarita. 2 lots have hatched, the 1st nest are now out all day but back in the evening to sleep in or near the nest. Nest 2 need another week or 2 to fly, and nest 3 should be almost near hatching. I love my swallows, I'd miss them if I didn't have any - thoug...

Re: Osteopath
I think for Gesy it depends what treatment you need. If I remember right physiotherapy is covered, so he can take gesy patients for that, but osteopathy/acupuncture isn't covered by gesy. But you'd need to ask the clinic.

Re: Osteopath
Nicos Heroditou. I find him very good.
He's above Soft Top furniture on the Polis road (up the road a little from Kolios Butchers, on the opposite side of the road). There's a handy little car park right next door, though it now costs €2.

Re: How was your Easter celebration after 2 years restrictions?
My Easter weekend was very lovely, thanks Max. Easter Saturday midnight mass and bomb fire in Kouklia on Saturday, big family Easter Sunday lunch on Sunday, then Mandria square Monday afternoon for the traditional games and souvla. Then an extra day off work yesterday with my first swim in the sea, ...

Re: Earthquake
I missed the 1st 2 as i was driving at the time, but really felt the later aftershock in Anarita, it was very quick but strong - I was just catching up on the previous ones on Facebook and was about to read the comments out to my sister, when we both felt or heard something as we both looked up at e...

Re: Mandria square rejuvenation completed
I have heard that the areas within the painted white lines are going to be individually allocated to the restaurants for outside dining-but I have no official confirmation Can't be for car parking-you couldn't get to them for the metal"posts"! There are white lines at the back of the squa...

Re: Mandria square rejuvenation completed
The square is just to the right side of the Cyprus Mail photo, as below. It's paved, but as Dee said, very bland. Hopefully it will look better once the trees have matured, but there's only a few trees. It could have done with more greenery and benches and some sort of feature - like replacing the o...

Re: Polemi and Panagia Snow
I loved seeing this video as I went up to Panagia yesterday afternoon and took loads of photos of what I thought was a lot of snow - but it was only around a third of what I can see in this video. So it was interesting to see what it looked like just a few hours before.

Re: Polemi Tulip Report
While we're all very interested in the tulips and how they're doing, I love how the cats are the stars of this blog!!! Are you sure the flowers were tulips? It's hard to tell from these photos as they're too distant, but they look like the lilac poppy anemones to me, half way between bud and full fl...

Re: Spring Blossom and Flowers
Isn't Cyprus looking stunning? I actually think February may be the best 'spring' month here with the lush green, fields of anemones, almond blossom, asphodel, early yellows, bubbling rivers... Driving and walking around the countryside at the moment is such a pleasure. I have very similar photos to...

Re: Asprokremmos Overflowing - Film
If you don't mind a little walk you can also park on the other side of the dam wall. Take the next road up, to Choletria, drive up a little way then turn left where there is a mobile stand with "road closed". You can drive round the sign as far as the dam wall, then park there and walk acr...
