Re: Rory Stewart gets the Hedgehog Vote
Dominc - that is a well written, thoughtful and balanced piece of writing, Rory Stewart obviously has more about him than meets the eye. I do not like Boris for the same reasons most people don't like him but he look like he is going to romp home at the moment and I do stress at the moment.

Re: Rory Stewart gets the Hedgehog Vote
The worst thing is this MP is a contender for the PM's job - I suppose anyone who can discuss hedgehogs in a near empty chamber and keep a straight face and be serious must believe he can debate anything

And Boris got the rest, 114 nearest rival at 43. Trump for President and Boris as Prime Minister doesn't look so far fetched beyond belief now. I would love to be in the she's of anyone who had a few bob on that Bet.

Re: Trump's Latest Pearls of Wisdom
"You obviously are a huge Trump supporter which is fine" - I certainly respect you viewpoint however In answer to that I am not a Trump Supporter as I see him more as a petulant child throwing his dummy out of his pram as and when it suits him not the sort of person I would personally want...

Re: Trump's Latest Pearls of Wisdom
Here are a few facts and figures certain posters don't bother posting as they choose to only look for the negatives with Trump. I can't stand the bloke but his reputation as a businessman and his policies as US president speak for themselves when it comes to the economy. 1st - Unemployment under Tru...

Re: Trump's Latest Pearls of Wisdom
His father and siblings helped him out with a few million along with banks, and yes his father was a millionaire but nowhere near a billionaire which according to Forbes as of 2019 Trumps nett worth is $3.1 Billion - hardly a dramatic fall. Show me any business that does not utilise the banks money ...

Re: Trump's Latest Pearls of Wisdom
Funny how many people on this forum are always quick to knock Trump, I am not great lover of the bloke, but point one, how many posters on this forum are BILLIONAIRES, secondly he can't be as stupid as posters on this forum like to make him out to be, if he was we would all be Billionaires myself in...

Re: Theresa May, time to step down?
Remainers / Leavers does it now really matter ??? we are way past the point of who really cares, people just want to get either a deal done or leave. UK politicians have turned the whole thing into a farce. On driving back Home yesterday morning after my latest stint away a fierce debate was afoot o...

Re: Shamima Begum
She is a British Subject and unfortunately the PC Brigade and Bleeding Hearts AND Do-gooders will be screaming from the roofs for her return as it is her right. She has shown no remorse whatsoever, she is only interested in the UK Tax Payer and NHS to look after her. She has even stated that she has...

Re: Well Anybody That thought German Industry .... !
Sorry - It should have read you "cannot post that" - it was meant in humour / tongue in cheek but was lost in the way I typed it. My point being that anything that goes against the belief that all is rosy within the EU is not correct. Think Tanks that have commented on various outcomes of ...

You can post that ApusApus - its all false, just like George Soros comments the other day - not that the usual brigade made any comments on, one can only assume they were just dismissive - funny really because when Soros has posted negative comments about Brexit it has been jumped on straight away b...

Re: Will the Brexiters be moving back to the UK?
It still never ceases to amaze me that certain people on this forum still hold so much faith in the great EU Project and Britain is Doomed, the game is not yet over and the fat lady still has not sang. George Soros who certain posters love to quote on this forum as being an international finance exp...

Re: Its All Kicking Off In Italy
Hardly stepped aside or caved in, just found a compromise that the EU and Italian Government could live with. HIC - you always try to spin a story to suit your own position which is the EU is the fantastic benevolent regime, they reduced their budget by 9B Euros a drop in the ocean to an economy the...

Re: By the time some of you read this, May could be gone....
Dominic - you should be a politician, excellent solution to an unfathorable problem, if memory serves you only need 100,000 signatures on a petition for it to be heard in Parliament. jimgward - I was voting remain but changed my position to Brexit, and the figure quoted ref Tory MPs was a figure fro...

Re: By the time some of you read this, May could be gone....
HIC - maybe you should have thought about voting at the time or made a really concerted effort to cast your vote, for someone who did not you have plenty to say for the remain camp, I personally cast my vote and feel that everyone who did remain or leave have a right to continually debate the pros a...

Re: Its All Kicking Off In Italy
Regardless that Italy signed up to agreements they have simply had enough of the budgetary controls imposed by the EU, the Italians have decided that 10 years is enough, they do not see and have not been given any indications as to when the EU budgets and fiscal policies will get any better for the ...

Re: Its All Kicking Off In Italy
4 Days ago - Italian Prime Minster Conte launched a scathing attack on the EU claiming he will not back down on the Italian Budget and pledged that his loyalties lie with the Italian Electorate and not Brussels. (Daily Express) 13 Hours ago "there will be NO major changes to the Italian Budget ...

Re: The Brexit Special
Have just returned to the UK and thought I would just post some thoughts from other citizens of the world I have been speaking to whilst on my travels to the Far East, USA and Australia. Whilst many people were bemused that the UK voted for Brexit they are equally bemused at the way the negotiations...

Re: Just slowly the penny is beginning to drop...
I firmly agree that the UK has become the laughing stock of the world - why because the country's politicians are divided and the country is divided and worse still in my humble opinion Labour will never agree to any deal as it is all about now forcing a general election. Brussels could have prevent...

Re: Just slowly the penny is beginning to drop...
According to constitutional law if the legal historian was right then we was illegally in the EU Club in the first place and transferred our sovereignty accordingly without a vote from the electorate. Had the UK been given the choice of a referendum that it was constitutionally required to do it wou...
