Re: Internet
Hi, The reason we do not cover the Universal area is because there are over 200 transmitters there, which causes a signal issue in that area - there are only a few frequencies available to use and cross-talk causes issues with the speeds. We do have some customers in that area, but getting the minim...

Re: UK TV
Just to post an update, the link above is not correct - www.uktv.media is the correct one. There is now 14 days catchup on many channels. As a special offer to PL members only for the next 30 days, an annual subscription for the full 300+ channel package is €180, or 6 months at €100 including Sky sp...

Re: French Election
OhSusanna, 52% of the UK voters are not "old, un-educated, or ex-pats", and I will bet many have degrees - anyway I have met many computer "geeks" with degrees (who worked in the NHS) and look what happened to their wonderful systems a couple of weeks ago. Brexit or not the pound...

Re: Phone and Internet Connection
Dave is correct, I was at a remote farm the other day, the internet there is excellent - rock solid. However if you are in an area with lots of providers, the signal interference can be an issue causing slow speeds, tv buffering etc. Although I am a wireless provider, I live in a remote location, an...

Re: Phone and Internet Connection
almost all the providers use the cyta backbone, unless you can get cablenet. Cyta has the edge though probably a bit more expensive.
for UKTV you have loads of options as well, but the best use the MAG series of boxes (IMHO), I use uktv.media

Re: Filmon no longer free!!
often catch up problems are due to the buffer size being too large. Go to settings, advanced settings, video. I normally set this to zero, but 1 or 2 seems ok, higher can cause "file missing" on both catchup and live tv.

Re: Sky Multi Room
Just for info there are some MAG providers that offer a multi-room option, 1St box on full subs, and 2+ boxes on as little as €5 a month per box, with the full sky package. PM me if you require any info.

Re: MTN Broadband in A Box
I agree, square eyes! However that is an AVERAGE, some customers use more than 1TB! - I would assume they watch HD. To give an indication of who things have changed, in 2009 our customers used 2.9TB in a year, in 2016 it was well over 300TB, in the first 3 months this year it is just shy of 100TB, s...

Re: MTN Broadband in A Box
just check the "fair usage policy", for normal internet/emails etc it will be fine, for streaming TV you will hit the limits well within the month!
Most of our TV customers use between 300 and 400GB per month.

Hi Dominic,
I cannot reply to your PM, you just need a ftp upload account to a directory, then point the web page to the image. I look after 2, Jim has the other two. It does not require hardly any bandwidth.

They will be moved to www.holitecbroadband.eu/webcam/webcam.html until a permanent home can be found. Latchi and Peyia are updating there, I have to reprogram Trimi and Emba before the closure.
