Re: Why am I behaving so badly?
Well done Dominic. The council have intervened. They require a risk assessment of each balloon so they have had to be removed. The risk assessment requires five days notice. The lady who was putting the balloons up got a phone call from the council so they had to be removed. Thank goodness that the...

Re: BREXIT - Walk Away!!
I am quite new to this forum so do not know the various members. However, I am surprised he is allowed to continue posting such rubbish. Amos. Amos, It’s good to have you as a regular poster on the Forum. Your posts are often thought provoking, always measured and are well argued. We may not always...

Re: Discussion on future of Bases to start next week
The British bases are very necessary as part of safeguarding the security of the UK and its allies. They would not wish to close them, neither would that be a practical proposition. The only viable outcome of the "discussions" would be for the UK to pay Cyprus a fair rent for the SBAs, le...

Re: BREXIT - Walk Away!!
The EU are acting like the playground bully - they want to steal our Dinner Money. Does anyone really believe that the bullying will end there? In my analogy, it never does. Showing weakness to a bully just reinforces their belief in themselves and the bullying will carry on or intensify. We seem to...

Re: All eyes are now on Monarch airlines as CAA consider licence extension
My brother and his wife were meant to fly out with Monarch last night in order to have a 1 week holiday with us but they have had to postpone their holiday until next year due to Monarch's problems. Their travel insurance company (American Express) along with most travel insurers does not provide co...

Re: Discussions about Meals and Petrol Cheap
Do you (Devil), PaphosAl, or WHL know FOR A FACT that this place is even TC owned and operated, let alone being operated from stolen property? Having just checked the Cabin Beach website, I found a picture of a cross and the words "Faith is like wi-fi. It's invisible, but it can connect you wit...

Re: Discussions about Meals and Petrol Cheap
Dare I mention Asil Nadir, Polly Peck, Del Monte, TRNC all in the same breath? This bandit made an absolute fortune out of growing citrus on 'free' GC owned orchards in the North, then stole the UK company funds by transferring them to TRNC without the UK banking system even noticing! Shameful... A...

Oh dear, WHL.
You are just as rude as ever.
No wonder you end up in the Pit so many times.

Re: Meals and Petrol Cheap
So, no-one minds eating in restaurants etc. where the low prices may be explained because they are possibly built on stolen land? I am not Cypriot, but I can well understand that many Cypriots find it offensive to support hotels, restaurants, shops etc. built on land that belongs to them, especiall...

Re: Labour Party a "Government in Waiting" - JC
No it isn't. They are discussing their border. No Dominic, they are discussing OUR border and the Eire border. These matters are for Eire and the UK to sort out. By suggesting that NI - a Sovereign part of the UK remains within the EU they are overstepping their remit (no surprises there, then). Th...

Re: Meals and Petrol Cheap
We've had some great meals in the North, and really good value too. In fact, the current exchange rate from either Euros or Sterling to Turkish Lira seems to be quite advantageous.

Re: Labour Party a "Government in Waiting" - JC
Thanks jimgward. I believe that the European Parliament needs to keep its' Fedaralist nose out of what is exclusively UK business - especially as far as NI is concerned. If this were to be agreed (and I am pretty certain that it's a non-starter) then what's to stop Scotland insisting on the same dea...
