Re: How does this work?
The UK will be part of the decision making process while still a member. They won't be involved in decisions relating to the EU response to Brexit, or the future of the EU beyond the exit date (whenever that will be).

The law states that general shops (i.e. not bakers, kiosks etc) have to close tomorrow. If paps open then they risk a fine, not for the first time.

Deutsche bank has it's headquarters in Frankfurt.
Investing in infrastructure projects is nothing to do with financial centres, it's investing to get a profit.
I don't see how either of these is relevant to the UK's future as a financial centre Geoff.

Re: Sky news this morning.
I note that there are a number of posts suggesting that things will return to how they were in the pre-EU past. The fact is that they won't as the world (and Cyprus) has moved on. People may as well say we will go back to the how things were when Cyprus was a colony. Reference has also been made to ...

Re: Tony Blair Petition - Please sign
In the UK, as elsewhere, all ex-prime ministers receive protection for the rest of their lives. You seem to be supporting the idea that this should be withdrawn if the person in question has views you disagree with. To extend this stance, we can see that all ex-prime ministers should have their prot...

Re: Paphos sanctuary has over 700 cats (PICTURES)
But why? Couldn't they be let out to be cats again, as they are more than able to look after themselves (assuming they are healthy of course). I can understand neutering programmes, which are obviously vital. But why spend money on feeding them when it could be spent on more neutering?

That explains why I couldn't find it and ended up going somewhere else. They might wish to update their web site and facebook page.

Re: Heading for the Precipice? According to the Observor....
The plain fact is that the referendum question was very simplistic. Do you want in or out? There was no information on what "out" would look like, and no opportunity for people to put in riders or "red lines". This gives the government carte blanche to do what they want, as long ...

I guess he would like one, but certainly doesn't deserve one.
With Carswell gone, I don't think we will see a UKIP MP again in the future. The party is sliding into obscurity.

Re: The lights are going out all over Europe
I agree with you Happy In Cyprus. There are no significant signs that the EU will fail. However, there are some who want it to and will talk it down whenever possible. I don't know why they do this, I can only assume is it down to their personal politics.
