That’s just what I’ve been told, but remembering back to when we holidayed here in hotels they never had a lifeguard on ...

Also recommend Andria , her salon is called Radek tel 96520749. Her salon is in Timi but she also does a couple of days at K Evelthon. She is an excellent cutter, when I first came over I kept asking people whose hair I admired where they went and the majority recommended her.

Re: Burglaries in Tala
There have been a number of burglaries recently in Mandria too. Sad to say it but you need strong locks on doors/windows, external security lights and house alarms ... just like in UK.

Re: Retirement in Paphos
I used all sorts of sprays in the past and nothing worked and most have an awful chemical smell. It was while on holiday one year waiting for the tour bus after a day out, the travel rep noticed all the bites on me and told me about garlic tablets, never had a problem since. I used to take them for ...

Re: TV again
In answer to Dominic’s query, all was ok last night but having just checked now we have tv and catchup but no films or box sets, just getting the file missing msg. Maybe it is just a case of updating on the system. Don’t usually watch tv until evening so will see what happens when I switch on after ...

Re: Retirement in Paphos
Thanks for that correction ronk, always get the names muddled! I was referring to Paphos Homemarket in my post. Quietlife- back to mozzie prevention, the taste/smell of garlic quickly disappears after a mouthful or two of coffee or food. Worth giving them a try to see if they work for you, they are ...

Great to hear you found a nice place to rent, where are you going to be living? I’ve ordered quite a bit from Amazon and have never had a problem with their deliveries. Some of the larger/more expensive items have been delivered to the main post office in Paphos but the majority gets sent direct to ...

Re: Retirement in Paphos
Thought Paphos Post was out end of 3rd week each month, I picked up the April edition last Friday. It does say inside the paper free copies are usually gone by second week of the month and after that can be bought at kiosks for 70c. I normally pick ours up from either Paps or Alphamega but this time...

Re: Retirement in Paphos
Have you picked up a copy of the Paphos Post, the monthly paper free at supermarkets. It has a property section. Also our local supermarket sometimes has ads for rentals in their window, so worth keeping an eye open when you are touring around. Always give our guests earplugs, no barking dogs or coc...

Re: Retirement in Paphos
Word of mouth is still a good way to find somewhere. We know someone who decided where they wanted to be so initially took an apartment in that area and used it to network with everyone. It worked, a couple of months later they found what they wanted.
