Re: New restrictive measures against Covid-19 as of 29 November

You say that wearing a mask is strictly enforced, we drove through the harbour a few days ago it was busy but only a handful of people were wearing masks, and some of them were around the chin, and there was the usual police car at one end but no police.

Re: Booster jab at the General...

We must have been lucky, Tuesday 16th my wife had a check up appointment at 8.30am at the General, thought we would get the booster while we’re there, bit busy but not chaotic,10 mins in, asked for Monderna fully taken up, so opted for the Pfizer as the nurse said their was no difference between the...

Re: Lockdown

We went to a coffee bar in one of the main roads in Paphos everybody wearing their mask inside and pedestrians outside, in contrast driving through the harbour only a handful of pedestrians wearing masks, I might be wrong but I thought it was still mandatory to wear a mask outside when close to othe...

Re: Lockdown

Over a thousand cases in the last 3 days, and Paphos is now second to Nicosia in positive cases, its no coincidence that there is now an increase in tourists, i believe its random testing of aircraft which results in several cases at the airports every day, if thats the case perhaps all aircraft pas...

Re: No Coincidence

Well eldest son came over 5/6 weeks ago and granddaughter 3 weeks ago both double vaccinated both said they saw no sign of any testing on their flights, I did read somewhere that it was random testing of flights, I don’t know whether this is true or not.

No Coincidence

Looking at the virus figures in Cyprus I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the figures for Paphos have increased from 1/2 to 10/12 per day since we have seen an increase in visitors at the airports, today Paphos had the highest number of positive cases against the number of tests on the island, ev...

Avoiding the check

Just watched what sounded like a pair of Brits walk through the supermarket coffeeshop from parking their car through the tills, little bit of shopping and back the same way, have to wonder if they were double vaccinated and avoided to having to show the proof, i might be wrong.

UK cases lowest for a month

The Daily Mail going on about the fact that cases in the UK were the lowest for a month, they will be if the authorities are testing half the numbers the were a month ago, but the Mail doesn’t mention that, 1st Aug 670,000 people were tested way down on the figure of 1,160,000 reported 2/3 weeks ago.

Re: The SODAP Beach Cafe

Looking at the Lunch and Dinner menus together with the wine list all very nice but no prices which is usually a sign of expensive, think we will stick to Fitos and Petradaki in Kathikas.
