Re: Prime minister

Will she resign as many times as she has tried to get her exit deal through parliament. Or will she go back on any resignation as many times as she went back on her 'red lines'. For the country's sake, woman, ..................GO.

Re: Half of population now registered with Gesy, foreign nationals encountering problems

We called at our doctors yesterday and was told that the Authorities are now accepting that if we have a medical card then we have had an E121 / S1 However they now need a Utility bill for each of us... But as all bills are in my name we have to supply a Marriage certificate, and a letter to say th...

Re: Tactical Voting in the EU Elections

Dominic, Your solution does not take into account those that want to leave but don't like the deal but want to leave the EU. According to you if they don't like the deal then their default option is to stay.

Re: Tactical Voting in the EU Elections

Lots of people/parties wanting a second referendum or disguising it as a 'people's vote'. (Who else other than people would vote amuses me). However, couldn't these EU elections be considered as some sort of second referendum? Add up the percentages gained by 'Brexit' or partially 'Brexit' parties a...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

I was making an assumption that they were all run by the government.. ;-) Ever the optimist. :? Having said all that and before it seems that when one sets up one's individual applications to be enrolled there is a point when you put in the certificate number of your ARC (MEU! or MEU3) together wit...

Trev,
This is not something to argue about. Logically you are correct. Practically ......not so sure.

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Trev,
You are making a big assumption that all parts of the Health service are joined up, when it is obvious they are not.

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

We registered with the health service when we arrived here in 2007. We have a joint Medical card issued in March.. But we are still not able to register (at the moment) with the doctor we requested.. :-( Have you completed the "Beneficiary Enrolment Request" form on-line and sent the documentation ...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Thats my point, surely the possession of a medical card is evidence of entitlement. We have one e121,as my wife had her pension.1st and I am an addition It's all very well insisting that the medical card is sufficient evidence, but have you rung Newcastle to see if you both can get a S1. Or is it tha...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

I have the feeling that Darrow's preferred doctor does not know what she is talking about. He has registered and been accepted on-line, I assume using a S1 as support and now she is saying that a S1 is not being accepted. A clear case of people having an opinion without the knowledge of the matter a...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

We signed on as Beneficiaries in February and the application form and supporting documents were received by HIO on 6th March. Still waiting for our applications to be approved! Interesting that seeing a GP to sign on is not necessarily a shorter route if people are having to send documents to Nico...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Just thought I would update (confuse) matters based upon my/our experiences of our 5 hour visit to the General yesterday (Monday). Finally got to see what would be our choice of doctor. Registration to see her had been traumatic with the queue going back way past the ticket office at 07.30 when we r...

Re: Shamima Begum - this is going to cost UK a small fortune....

That will be the same father who was photographed alongside Lee Rigby's killer, clutching a burning USA flag, oh yes a really nice example for his daughter to follow, and she did. The same father who blamed the UK authorities for allowing his daughter to leave the UK. He can go and join her ! Jacki...

I love Cypriots dearly, but I have dealt with them long enough to know that forethought, planning, organisation, communications and leadership skills do not come easy.
Bit of an understatement there. :D
