Re: Maximum co payment

I have reached my 150 euro max co- payment and now do not need to pay any contributions for medication. Not certain about blood tests, but still need to pay consultant fees.😁😁

Re: Phone number of Paphos Immigration Office

Thank you for all the replies, I will phone first. I know what you mean about self entitled Brits, when I went to get my MEU3 there were 2 British people in the queue shouting the odds and saying 'But we're British we don't need to show you our passports' - embarrassing or what!! 😁😁

Re: Phone number of Paphos Immigration Office

I have heard conflicting information - you used to be able to just visit with your passport, but now it would seem you have to phone to make an appointment, to then go in with your passport and make another appointment. I wondered if anyone had actual information, not hearsay. Thanks.

Re: Flights via mainland Europe to the UK

Was the Ryanair flight just a repatriation flight? I can't imagine it's for tourists as it has been made perfectly clear that tourists will not be allowed it till 1 August. I do know someone who is returning to the UK on this flight and they accept they will have to self isolate for two weeks as the...

Re: Paphos: Eight arrested for disturbing the peace

I thought this post was supposed to be about the people arrested for disturbing the peace - instead it has been hijacked by people who are being , in my opinion, extremely rude, and have an agenda. Don't forget, this forum is not about people bashing, it is supposed to be friendly and informative. P...

Re: Post from UK

Lucky you Jim, I am expecting a parcel from Germany, by DHL. According the the tracker it arrived in Cyprus last Wednesday, but when I contacted DHL they said as it was a small parcel it had been sent to the Central Post Office. Who know when, if ever, I will get it!! 😟😟

Re: Stand and fight this Virus together

I think you are being quite unfair, the Queen is in her 90's and has served her country for over 60 years. Let the younger Royals do her duties. The only thing I am disappointed about is that she hasn't addressed the nation, either on TV or radio, but perhaps that will come. Stay safe, stay well. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Re: MRI results

Yes is the short answer, on a cd, plus a written report - you may have to wait one week to 10 days for these as they are very busy, presumably because of Gesy. πŸ˜€

Re: Is the General Hospital Closing?

We were delighted. Had the op on Thursday, out on Saturday afternoon, surgeon rang on Saturday evening to check all was well, 2 follow up appointments to check, all was OK and stiches (staples!) removed after 2 weeks and everything is good. Next follow up in a month. 😁😁

Jim
My partner has just had a private knee replacement op at the Blue Cross which he had to pay for, but was able use use Gesy referrals for his pre op blood tests, Xrays and MRI.
Maybe you can too. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Re: GESY registration

Peyia Medical centre will register you. Just take your MEU3 and white hospital card or S1 to them and ask if you can be put on their list. Your registration should only take a few days. Once you are registered Dr Molly will do all your referrals, be it blood tests, seeing a specialist, x-rays or MRI...

Re: Paphos Winter Tourism hit by Thomas Cook collapse

Agree with panoscouse, Thomas Cook did not fly in the winter, which makes easyJet and Ryanair's November prices absolutely scandalous. They are just cashing in on TC's demise, for no good reason. Paphos does need to change it's tourist offering though. Quality over quantity in the winter - so much t...

Re: GESY ... dream or nightmare?

Personally it's great - I used to spend 50 euros a month on medication (not all of my drugs were available at the general so I didn't bother going) - now it's 8 euros a month. 6-monthly blood tests were over 200 euros - yes I could have had them done at the general but chose not to. Now it's 4 euros...

Pay cheap, get rubbish - we pay 1.80 euros for excellent whole grain bread - worth every cent. Why would I want bland, white, awful stuff for 30p from Tesco. πŸ˜€

Always assuming that you declare that you rent your property! I did, both here and in the UK - but I would say an awful lot of people don't!! If they are caught I have no sympathy. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
