Re: Corallia Beach Walk
There is not much on the net about the British Army Camp, but better than nothing... "Camp Coral Bay was a British Army installation located in Cyprus, operational during the 1950s to mid-1960s. Location and Purpose Situated near the coastal area of Coral Bay, the camp served as a base for Brit...

Re: Corallia Beach Walk
For me this beach looks more tidy then Coral Bay beach you filmed the other day, due to the underground spring which delivers still water in summer. I was there with my first wife just after the 1974 war and we were sunbathing in a inflatable dinghy without any clothes on as there was no building ye...

Nice photos also from the harbour promenade showing the palm trees giving some shade.... https://up.picr.de/49715317zg.jpg however when you need the shade the most in June-Sep. there is nearly no shade now after they cut off most of the leaves...  first week in June. https://up.picr.de/...

Re: Paphos To Troodos Road Trip
Very nice road trip and explanations. Specially the added photos from previous trips I liked a lot and makes the whole video even more interesting. Pronunciation of village names and places is very tricky in Cyprus and even locals pronounce them differently.... :) depending the district they are bor...

Re: Still my favourite shrub in the garden (Pics)
You may or may not know that you can make teq from hibiscus flowers supposed to be good if you suffer from high blood pressure. Never made it myself but a friend made some and I did not really like kthe taste. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/hibiscus-tea-benefits Interesting, I did not know th...

I like Hibiscus too, the more you deadhead, the more it flowers. Talking about deadhead: these pic I did 4 days later in the evening, showing not only much more flowers now, but also what I believe is an excellent fertilizer for the plants: dead leaves and flower heads....I am going to brush them o...

Re: Still my favourite shrub in the garden (Pics)
It looks like your hibiscus got not enough water and plant nutrients.
My hedge gets water every second day and I led the old dead leaves from last year to moulder away, even when it does not look very tidy....
I got some more pics where one can see that and will post them tomorrow or so....

What a change within 6 weeks.... pics
Since a couple of days there is already a Summer impression specially in the night, at my place in the hinterland of Paphos (450 m) and it is only May. I had to run the air-con in the bedroom Saturday and Sunday as the outdoor temperature was all night not lower than 28c with hot wind blowing from T...

Still my favourite shrub in the garden (Pics)
The garden plant which really thrives in our Cypriot climate is the Hibiscus. Unfortunately I have only a hedge of about 12 m in my garden but many more meters of Bougainvillea which is a pain in the arse for me as it grows every year 4-5 m and very dangerous when you try to trim it. This year it lo...

Well, last year my landlord lost ALL his 15 chickens within 2 days and this year after drinking at my pool the female fox went straight to the shed with the pigeons and killed within 1/2 hour, 12 of them....

That is worrying, poor foxes and other wildlife. I am envious though that you got to see one up close and get a photo. The few times I have seen a fox they've just been quickly running across the road. Just for you, Ams, the next day the male fox appeared at my garden and I got him just after it wa...

A clear sign that we are having a water problem this year when a fox is so thirsty that it is not afraid to come to my pool late morning to have a drink... https://up.picr.de/49601900ji.jpg It had even no problem when I opened the sliding door to get the pic done !!!! Foxes appear every year at nigh...

Re: The Forum Server is under attack
That sounds dramatic. It just means it looks like somebody is doing a DDOS attack on the server, and specifically the forum. There are over 3000 active connections, which is obvious skullduggery. "If there is a downtime, that is why. Normal service will resume as soon as possible etc. I am not...
