Re: Recommendations for Inverter Aircon Suppliers

GreenAir Paphos, advertising on this forum and expert for energy-saving products, would be happy to give you advice and prices for their range of Inverter Air-cons and of course would take the old units away. Just phone 26 941 555 and ask for Lina or Andreas.

Re: What church!!

Well, even if the post card is older than 1974 (which I believe) they were able to produce a photo montage of this architectural model of a church. It looks a bit similar to the Agios Georgios church recently built at Stroumpi. What I recognize on this post card are the buildings in the foreground w...

Re: Do you know Cyprus? Villages (#20)

How did you guess max, I searched everywhere for your churches (thanks to my friend Google) and found it very difficult and got it wrong 😂😂 Relatively easy to explain: I came to Cyprus in 1970 and my first house was built in Latchi area in 1984. In all this years you get automatically some knowledg...

Re: Photovoltaic electricity

I just realized that it is necessary an update of my post 2 years ago:

Update:
Since March 2019 there are subsidies from the Gov., maximum 1000 Euro per installation (250 Euro per kWp) and also it is possible now to apply for a 10 kWp system.

Re: Photovoltaic electricity

I'd be interested to hear from other Forum members who have installed photovoltaic panels. I have received 2 quotes for a 3KW system comprising 11 panels. Specifications appear similar. What concerns me is the massive difference in the cost; One is €3,080 more than the other! More information about...

Re: “Turkey will not back down” experts warn

Erdogan is under a lot of pressure. I wonder if he stays much longer President if his party AKP loses a second time this Sunday. Also Trump has no more patience with him concerning many things but mainly with his Russian arms purchases (S-400) and there will be more sanctions with the result of more...

Beautiful, where were you based when you took the photo? We had cloud cover so missed it.
In my garden, near Minthis golf, moonrise ESE (117'o) 10.15PM, 50xzoom, F 6.3, ISO 80, 1/80 sec, I missed the moonrise but will try tonight again (21.55PM)

Re: The catacombs of Agios Mnasonas

Very interesting Max. I must visit one day. Just one other thing, I don’t think those are ventilation holes but are likely to be scaffolding holes for use when constructing the next level, however I may be wrong. I still believe that this holes are for ventilation. Here another pic showing them all...

Re: The catacombs of Agios Mnasonas

It sort of diminishes the historic interest and atmosphere of the place when you see a Lidl carrier bag hanging on the wall - I visited the one just down the road from the Roman Hotel a while ago and there was a Cola bottle standing in the shrine with the candles and holy pictures - I cannot imagin...

How far is Armou from Paphos? Are there any 'must see' places to visit in the area? A must see place is definitely the rocks of Episkopi. As Armou lays already on the Paphos to Episkopi road, it is only 7 km further to reach that view: ( of course you need also a rental car for that...) https://up....

The catacombs of Agios Mnasonas

Last weekend I went for a trip towards Troodos in order to visit the village of Potamiou as Dominic mentioned that place in an other post... https://up.picr.de/36035414wl.jpg searching in the net I found out that this village is not only very pretty as you can see, but one can visit one of the oldes...
