Re: Immigration

We applied for MEU3 5th September 2018 still waiting for it. Sent emails to Nicosia immigration and made phone calls no reply to both. So good luck and well done to those who have received them. We have paid someone to get our IPT tax that was over a year ago, still not got it, so paying someone is...

Re: Banks getting greedy - governments says it will act

We have two bank accounts, one with BOC and the other with Hellenic. When we had cash transferred from the UK to our current account at the BOC it was taking an average of 48 hours to show in our account (that's 48 hours after Currency Fair informed us that the exchange had taken place and the tran...

Just wondered if the people who have a problem with the way the written word is expressed also make corrections when they are having a conversation?

Re: Transferwise being slow

Thanks for all the posts about Transferwise but I do prefer knowing in advance that the fee is fixed. Some Cyprus banks charge for the inward payment depending on the amount so there are quite a few factors involved so at the end of the day it's the amount sent vs the amount received that counts. I ...

If I was an asylum seeker or refugee the first place I would head for is the UK,and those that do,can you blame them.
At the very least land on a mainland country rather than an island as onward travel is that much easier.

Re: Transferwise being slow

Agree although we do not now use the Hellenic bank, we also did not notice extra charges with our Debit card, this I will look into, but never had any real problems with Transferwise, usually the cash is in my BOC account next day. For IK this was my last charge from TW Fee of £6.92 GBP (two weeks ...

Re: Possible increase in number of asylum seekers

Two Syrians will appear in court on Tuesday suspected of helping to smuggle 131 migrants to Cyprus who arrived on the island on a boat from Turkey. Cyprus police said Monday they towed to shore 131 migrants, almost all from Syria, after they were sighted on an overcrowded boat off the island's north...

Paphos Winter Tourism hit by Thomas Cook collapse

While winter tourism has been picking up over the past few years, Paphos seems to be going into lockdown as 68 out of 106 hotels are to close. Last winter season just 37 hotels had closed, an indication of Paphos’ tourism being dependent on the UK market. Meanwhile, a majority of Limassol hotels wil...

Re: Bad sportsmanship

I find the criticism for not wearing their medals by the English team a little PC and nit picking and forgets the effort put in over the 2 month period of the tournament. It forgets that, after beating the all-blacks there were no 'over the top' celebrations. Not nitpicking or PC - just very disapp...

We literally wanted something with four wheels and he found us the ideal runabout (which we actually drove to the Karpaz Pensi...
