Re: Paphos: 50 drivers booked in one day

Larnaca has a metro population of 144,200 and Paphos 35,961. It other words, Larnaca is 4 times bigger, population-wise, than Paphos. Sorry, that is utter nonsense, exaggerating Larnaca by over 2¾ times. Please, when making comparisons, compare like with like. In 2020 2019, the population of the ci...

Re: Domestic appliance engineer needed

Not an engineer, a technician. An engineer is a university-trained, qualified, professional. A technician is a person employed to look after technical equipment and to carry out practical work.

Re: Paphos: 50 drivers booked in one day

Devil do you know No I don't know. What I do know is that a similar blitz in Larnaca yielded 836 booked for traffic offences in eight hours. I do not believe that Larnaca has many more cops than Paphos (although slightly bigger, it has less crime). https://cyprus-mail.com/2020/01/31/836-booked-for-...

They could not find more than 50 in a day? Guess the Paphos cops need eye tests.

Re: Recommendation

You may require planning permission for some of your works. For underfloor heating, STRONGLY recommend a heat pump system, which will consume only about ¼ of the electricity compared with what you seem to propose.

1.4°C at 06:42 this morning here at nearly 300 m altitude (certified weather station). Now 5.4°C at 09:48 and the wind is starting to get up, so we'll have a wind chill, to boot!

Re: Can You Identify The Fruit?

I hav...

Re: Yellow warning issued as high winds to hit the island

Yes, it's going to be windy with a helluva wind chill. My 15:00 forecast is below (remember we are almost 300 m up and I anticipate about 1°C colder than at sea level). Stay in bed on Sunday! :) :)

Re: Electric cars

I won't comment on these articles but they all cast much doubt on hydrogen as a solution to replace carbon (and there are plenty more where they came from). I didn't write any of them and they are probably all more recent than my website. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2186273-hydrogen-will-ne...
