Can anyone recommend a solid reliable security company.
We currently use a local company who have proved to be not very professional, just short of being cowboys.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you everybody.
I have contacted Mark.
I'm glad I didn't ask whether anyone knew of a good brain surgeon.

Amazon Post Brexit
I recently placed an order with Amazon Germany and paid in Euros. But when the package arrived the label stated that it was from the UK, delivered by Royal Mail and shipped from Manchester to Larnaca. In future is this likely to cause an issue with the staff in Cyprus re Duty as the UK will be a Thi...

Re: Is Your British Passport Still Valid ?
J B Thanks for the direct link. I wonder whether the Yellowhammer reports on the governments contingency plans for a no deal Brexit include having to renew millions of passports and also having to inform all the immigration departments in all EU countries that the expiry dates on all British passpor...

Is Your British Passport Still Valid ?
This is from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office website. 'The rules for travel to most countries in Europe will change if there’s a no-deal Brexit. If your adult passport was issued over 9 years ago, you may be affected. You should use this tool to check your passport is still valid for your trip...

Dominic, The Royal Navy has got enough ships to escort the number of ships through the Strait of Hormuz that have a British Flag of Convenience (FOC) because only five transit each day (FT facts). They could travel in a convoy or individually arrange their departure with the Royal Navy. Under intern...

We have rats in our garden.
Without having to get a cat and concerned about the possible effects of poison on wildlife in our garden does anyone have any good ideas to rid us of these rats.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Winter fuel allowance
Kili does but its not automatic.
There is a form in Greek to complete, signed by the mucktor and deposited at the district office. It is time limited and the current allowance has now expired.

Re: first experience visiting GESY doctor
I registered with a GP directly and unfortunately at the moment I have no access to web sites or links .. Being registered doesn't mean you have been enrolled in GESY. Once your application has been approved (you get an email) you see the doctor who follows a process whereby he gives you a code and...

The screenshots look like demo / training / marketing material than a copy of an actual patients record. The dates give it away.
Surely a pharmacist would not know what a patients record looks like.

Re: Blood tests at Paphos General.
Later that day the results arrived in our doctors and our own GESY accounts. Had a look, very understandable, nothing to worry about. Brilliant system. So I assume you both registered separately , as they told me only the main person can see their own results on line . And you can not see any other...

Re " the NHS system is in operation? " my wife had a blood test at a private place on Wednesday and asked if it could be done under the Gesy system.. The lady said she did not know what my wife was talking about and my wife had to pay €115 .. :-( As far as I can tell, all the GESY Pharmac...

Re: Blood tests at Paphos General.
Yes, it's one €1 per box ticked on the form. Don't know if they stick to the €10 limit per sheet because ours were spread over several sheets being different categories of blood tests. Even so it was only €11 for eleven tests. We went to the Iasis at 9 o'clock for fasting blood tests. And yes we did...

Re: Some meds for chronic diseases not available
How can you say that?! If they're being prescribed by a Gesy GP to obtain from a Gesy Pharmacy and there aren't any then surely it is remiss of Gesy not to ensure they have sufficient supply?!! ..... At least when I last checked (in 2017) there was no triptane available. .... So if it wasn't availa...

Re: Blood tests at Paphos General.
Has anyone had blood test under Gesy yet ? This is supposed to be the cost “Laboratory tests will also cost €1, while the total maximum charge per class of laboratory tests is €10.” Is the stamp system still in use ? We went to our GESY doctor who entered all the blood test descriptions into the GE...

Re: first experience visiting GESY doctor
According to GESY your doctor gives you his code and then emails you another code. You then enter both in your Beneficiary record. The problem we found is that our doctor give us his code but we never received an accompanying email. I rang GESY who said that our email addresses should be on the Doct...
