Re: Masks and mandatory tests following Covid 'outbreak'

You do all realise that the idea of face masks was only introduced to make people more aware of covid? There was never any scientific evidence that they did anything. Unfortunately, many people (as evidenced by some of the replies on here) fell for it and are now wed to the idea that masks are their...

Re: Masks and mandatory tests following Covid 'outbreak'

Sorry Dominic, but that is just someone offering an opinion, based on no actual facts. No evidence is presented. There have been scant few scientific studies carried out. One of the few real studies that was carried out was in Norway and that found that masks did nothing to prevent the spread of cov...

Why masks?
They've been proven to be ineffective.

Re: New Bus Stations Announced, And Fare Rises.

Hi Fishbeardsunset,
Thanks for that information.

Re: New Bus Stations Announced, And Fare Rises.

I think the rises are far too excessive. Fortunately, we only have to use them while on holiday there. Makes hiring a car and forgetting using the buses even more attractive now. As for the new routes - two of the most popular tourist routes (Harbour - Coral Bay and Harbour - Karavella) now require ...

Lighthouse Beach Bar

We walked from our hotel to Lighthouse Beach the other day. Bit surprised that the bar there, having endured all year of the coastal footpath being closed and restricting their trade considerably, have now decided to refurbish their place. Anyway, following a comment by Dominic, I followed his examp...

Re: Kings Avenue Mall At Christmas

We called at the Mall yesterday.
Lasted about 20 minutes before we were driven out by the 'children's entertainer' with his microphone on max volume.
They do a decent job of the decorations though.

Re: The New Paphos Bus Station

The comment above about the 615 buses not going down to the harbour is interesting. Thousands of tourists must take the bus between Coral Bay and the harbour (and the other way). Do they really expect people to walk from the harbour to TotK road and back? Or catch 2 buses? What a backward step, if t...
