Return Flights for 2 EMA - PFO 14th to 28th May

We have return flights from East Midlands to Paphos, outbound Saturday 14th May at 14:15 returning 28th May at 22:00 and unfortunately we can no longer use them. I believe the name change is £25 per person, so I would be happy to accept £200 for the flights + the name change fee should anyone be int...

Re: Flying back to UK

No, a test is not required, just evidence of your vaccination status at check-in and a day two test which must be purchased before filling in your passenger locator form and the order number of the test entered into your on-line form. If you are buying tests for more that one person make sure that y...

Re: No new countries added to UK Green List, according to BBC.

Gove attended the Champions League final in Porto so it's entirely possible Portugal was put into the green category for the football.

Window repairer

One of the vertically mounted sliding hinges on our one side of our bathroom window has broken and misaligned the window on one side by about 5mm. Can anyone recommend someone who could repair (unlikely) or replace this please? It is a small window that opens outwards by pushing at the bottom where ...

Re: Detached Retina

My next door neighbour (in the UK) woke up one morning in February with this. He had the operation about 4 days later and his full vision returned by about Easter. I believe he had some gas in his eye keeping pressure on his retina whilst it healed and his vision returned gradually as this dissipate...

Re: Albania anyone?

We took the day trip Corfu to Sarande last August and I would highly recommend it. There was enough people on the boat to fill two coaches when we got there and the coaches were split by language, one English/German coach and one Greek/Italian coach. I am still surprised to this day that we were the...

Les Amis Restaurant has gone!

We have just walked past Les Amis restaurant in the hope that they had re-opened this week for 2019 only to find it has apparently gone and the building up for rent. As a favourite restaurant of ours and always so busy that it was advisable to book ahead we are really surprised about this. Does anyo...

Thank You David Mitchell

My wife and I caught the bus to Geroskipou with the intention of visiting the Folk Art Museum, after getting off the bus we walked back towards Paphos but couldn't find the museum and so set off walking towards the airport. We came to what seemed to be the end of the village and so popped into David...

Re: Emergency Information for Monarch Customers.

We are now 'repatriated', sadly, as the weather is horrible! Because we were outside the 2 week 'shadow airline' period we were treated individually. The CAA rang us 2 days prior to our scheduled departure and offered us a couple of options of a flight to Manchester or Gatwick. As we departed from B...

Re: Engineers

A colleague of mine always maintained that in the UK the term 'Engineer' is associated with the 'oily rag trades' whereas in countries such as Germany and Japan the Engineer is afforded the same sort of respect as that given to professions such as Doctors. He also believed that as a consequence engi...

Re: Emergency Information for Monarch Customers.

Photo Lady, thank you. There is a key sentence on that page that is actually buried quite deep amongst all the information on their website and I had missed it. I think it should be in their FAQ's section but isn't.

Re: Emergency Information for Monarch Customers.

We're due to fly back on the 17th, the day after the CAA chartered operation expires. Although flight only we do have a valid ATOL certificate so it will be interesting to see how they fly us home. Their website assures us that they will fly us home. We would be prepared to fly back early if it were...

What to do in a medical emergency?

We have owned our apartment for 12 years and have probably used it over 50 times and fortunately in that period we have never required any medical assistance other than that which can be catered for by buying over the counter medicine at a pharmacy. As we both turn 60 soon it struck me that perhaps ...

Re: MTN Broadband in A Box

We bought an MTN Broadband in a box at New Year after getting totally fed up with the unreliability and customer service one of the local Wi-Fi providers. First of all, we are not resident here all year around and it is the fact that you can turn the service on and off as required that attracted us ...
