Recently I have been doing some work for cash in hand. However being a good lad I do not want to be a bad lad and conform with the correct ways. With this in mind how do I proceed to become self employed. tia

Re: Unemployment Situation

Bluesky, here is a link you might want to check out, there are other Cyprus employment sites on google, with varied jobs, failing that, the best course of action, is to get out there and knock on doors, a young lady friend of ours has a teaching degree and couldn't find work, so she has just found w...

Re: Unemployment Situation

Thank you for all your ideas. I have just been hanging on... no government help available and bills not paid for the last 3 months, since Covid struck. Added to that, Alpha Bank has decided to issue a writ to try and repossess my home. The documents are in Greek so asked my neighbours to give me an...

Not bad for a covers artist
Cheap shot

But to understand your strange logic, every opera singer, ever musician, every orchestra, who plays classical music is a cover artist.

Keukenhof is like a piece of heaven on earth, we have visited several times as we have close family living in Amsterdam , it is only open two to three months a year for obvious reasons, but has been closed this year.

Im not one of them, but there will be people looking to take a holiday, given Cyprus's excellent record in handling this virus, that might be a factor in people choosing to holiday here?.

Re: Bar, restaurant industry in Paphos looks bleak without tourism

If there are really 1000 restaurants, bars, cafes in the Paphos district, then perhaps there are too many of them, even without the corona problem. This is a typical Cypriot phenomenon that people open a business without market research. For example if someone opens a kiosk, you can wait for a couple...

Re: Coronavirus: No new cases, first time since March 10

At the moment there is full quarantine from airport to complete isolation for 2 weeks with a 50,000 fine and up to a year in prison if you break it. Repatriating Cypriots are allowed to return so it doesn’t matter whether they were tested at the airport or here. They were in full quarantine. From t...

Re: Coronavirus: No new cases, first time since March 10

You have lost me as to why they could not have been tested at the departure airport... Before they flew with all the other passengers and maybe infected them as well How long does it take to get the results from the tests?, take swabs/ blood, from 100/200 passengers, send them off to a lab, etc etc,

Would it not have been better to test them BEFORE they were allowed on the flight ??
For obvious reasons, you couldn't test them in the airport, which results in testing when they arrive here, and the numbers show Cyprus is doing a good job, in controlling this virus.

Re: Coronavirus: No new cases, first time since March 10

8 New cases today. Are we taking our eye off the ball? PS Just found out that 7 out of the 8 were from a repatriation flight from UK on 21/05/20. So not really homegrown cases. This really is Scandalous that people are being allowed onto the island that have the virus... Firstly they should be test...
