Re: Encouraging news over Brexit.

HIC,
I think you have made a giant leap between your opening paragraph and what was stated in the pro-remain BBC's report.

Re: Bad sportsmanship

I find the criticism for not wearing their medals by the English team a little PC and nit picking and forgets the effort put in over the 2 month period of the tournament. It forgets that, after beating the all-blacks there were no 'over the top' celebrations. Winning the RWC ‘over the top’ celebrat...

And the Americans pronounce it as LIEDEL Who gives a monkeys how the Americans pronounce things. They mispronounce many things seemingly to put their 'ownership' on the word e.g. oregano. Far more interested in how the Germans pronounce it as it is a German company (I think). I always try to pronou...

Re: Lidls

Not sure where Aradippou is but there is hardly ever a long queue at the Polis road branch. However the Lidl in Limassos is not so 'on the ball' and you can have a queue of 10 people and no-one thinks to open a new till. Management incompetence!

Re: Encouraging news over Brexit.

You are correct Lloyd; talking to my Leaver sister the other day and during the whole conversation she was complaining about how the cost of her weekly food shop had risen by nearly 50% over the last three years. Not being one to check their outgoings I'm pretty certain our food bill hasn't risen b...

Re: Brit suspected of conning hotel escapes extradition because of kids' health

So on the one hand UK is up in arms about the lady who has admitted to driving on the wrong side of the road and killing a motor cyclist before claiming diplomatic immunity and running away and refusing to returning to the UK to face justice, together with all the publicity surrounding that situatio...

Maybe they should have different staff to deal with the Agencies, assuming that everyone is being seen by the same staff, that is?
A good idea but a bit difficult when there appears to be only one or two staff dealing with things.
