Re: The Joy of brexit

I would assume that the wage is the minimum wage, and if there are unemployed people that refuse the job then they should not get benefits.. No Trev , what they should do is make the wages worth while getting out of bed for. If you stop their benefits they will just find another means of getting mo...

By what other means would they be able to obtain money ?

Benefits are far too easily accessed in the UK, the system is greatly abused.

If you are fit to work, then you should, end of.
Steal it.
How are you going to get them to work Jackie, hang a few, flog them, starve them out?

Re: Radio antennae

The Greek model I mentioned is about €40 and Lidl do sell
internet radios occasionally.
Another way is to use an Android or I Phone with a Bluetooth speaker that cost about €10 and the sound is very good.

Re: Radio antennae

Nicolaou Electronics should be able to help with an aerial but also as the others said internet radio is the way to go.
There is a good inexpensive Greek model available if you search on line.

Thank you Paul, I take it "Permanent Residency" refers to holders of the MU3 or am I wrong?

Hi Jeba, I don't think it's anything to do with Covid. I've read several articles which complained about Israelis flying directly into Larnaca and then having 2 weeks holidays in the occupied areas. Alot of Russians do it as well because of the availability of cheap flights to Larnaca and this is on...

I've had a few of those over the years from one or two sites. I just deleted them , more or less publish and be dammed sort of thing, never heard anything after that.
If you're worried just change your password but don't lose any sleep over it.

Re: The Joy of brexit

Restriction or not it will suit the Cypriot Hotel trade who hate to see these tourists going to accommodation on the other side. By Brexit default you could say that's a bonus for them. I think there's been a kick up about the number of Israelis and Russians coming in through Larnaca and heading No...

If you go to the very first post at the top you will see the the word Brexit is mentioned in the second paragraph and the whole post is in reference to Brexit. No one is hijacking this posting as that was what the original posting was about. Let's face it if we relied upon posts from those who compl...

Hey Trans Am I'm very aware we are where we are and know theres presently no chance of rejoining in the foreseeable future, what puzzles me is people are trying to justify a system that's slowly strangling the UK economy.or stifling my and my familys freedom. I thought Cyprus has already applied to become a member of Schengen? Several of our family and friends who were either on holiday, studying or working in the Schengen member countries have been allowed to visit Cyprus on their Schengen Visa. It's only the occupation that's preventing full membershi...

The first move from the old Colonial Offices to the one located in the old hospital grounds caused chaos as hundreds of files were lost or misplaced, let's hope this latest move doesn't have the same problems. The new Immigration Office is easier to get to as it's not far past the end of the motorwa...

The Good Law Project won its court case in the High Court about the issue of illegal contracts awarded to friends and family by Matt Hancock; very little mention of it in the media, I wonder why? Below is a link showing what the court case was about. https://goodlawproject.org/case/procurement-case/...
