Re: British expats in Cyprus given an extra year to apply for residence permits

Well i think k people should stop wingeing about immigration and say thankyou for their understanding. There workload would be so much smaller if more people had sorted their paperwork when they came here.

Often see posts about unlocking, some iPhones seem to relock themselves. Why buy a locked phone when you want an unlocked phone ?

Re: Immigration today ...

Macmaniac did you see immigration as a farce ? Whilst immigration is not the best sorted out dept it is miles better than in 2001 when I registered there. In fairness to them they have more work to do than ever and are totally swamped by 100s if not 1000s of English who either could not be bothered ...

Re: Illegally parked cars should be towed away

The big challenge here is not to make new laws, things would be 100 times better if the current laws were enforced, major cultural problem. So far the best thing I have seen is when paphos and Nicosia police swapped places, and out of the people nicked what percentage pay the fine ?

Re: Bioplant licence

Who is your property management company and what do they have to gain in you getting a license ? Investigate why first, could be just some kids fresh from college having read too many books on building regs.

Glad it is a hoax, sounds pretty end of the UK stuff, then all member nations will be a merry band of German Europeons. Guess we will have to learn German. Seems a similar situation to being a member state of the old USSR.

Of course the basis of road safety should start at school, maybe even teaching some very basic first aid too. Is there anything like that on the syllabus?

Re: Public information films

I dont think language is a problem, if the film is well made then the pictures say the whole story. Look at Mr Bean how much does he say but he is popular in many countries and cultures. ? Maybe get Mr bean to make some public safety films.
