Garden of Eden packed today even the staff complaining nobody checking age so place over run far too many people in the shop. The police checking on the road for paper and sms permission.
In situations like that surely the best thing to do is not go in; go elsewhere!

I wonder if the sale of cheap (€20) mobiles will increase; as some will no doubt try to find a way around the restrictions  :x

Re: Would you expect this building is in Cyprus?

Stylish certainly, but....As an ex architect, personally I think it is inappropriate for the location. It puts many adjoining buildings in complete darkness. It also has far too much glass for Cyprus! Just look at all the internal blinds needed, with the obvious increase in air con required. As for ...

I also request a balance of the account before and after I have withdrawn the money. Similarly when I put cash on one card (it is a prepaid card) in the bank I go straight out and print off a statement from the ATM to check the bank has done the transaction properly because until then my only proof...

Re: what is considered an acceptable distance to travel

We all know that we are living through unprecedented times and we obviously feel unsettled by all of the restrictions we are faced with. But ultimately, it is not simply a case of 'they' are not allowing us to do something or just 'having to follow the rules' is it? We are all at risk of either cat...

Hellenic in Chlorakas has contactless, but I couldn't get it to accept. New screen layout too, that flummoxed me for a bit.

BTW, JCC ATM's are accepting any card at no charge during this crisis.

Re: Citizen's Form and SMS Generator

Mentioning banks, JCC will not impose a charge for using their ATM's, so no need to go chasing around to find your own bank if it's just to withdraw cash.

As the restriction says "for essential travel/items"; whilst you may not be able to buy your favourite croissant at the village kiosk, aren't we are supposed to be doing without? IMHO, it's certainly not making 40-50km round trip to get to LIDL etc?

Thought we were doing well with our self quarantine of 9 days. Well done Trev and stay safe. We have still got salad stuff in our fridge that is 9 days old and veg that is a fortnight old. However, will have to do a big shop sometime this week.
Delicious vegetable soup on the boil then?
