Re: Caught at the traffic lights
Now I've become curious and asked Google gemini. According to this the fine for stopping before the intersection is €25, but for crossing the intersection it is € 300.

Re: Caught at the traffic lights
more than one picture taken.. And the offence is crossing the white line on a red signal.. So if no part of the car moves over a white line you should not get a fine.. Surely, the fine will be higher if you cross the intersection than if you only cross the white line by a few centimetres, won't it?

Re: Caught at the traffic lights
Will the camera take one picture only, or a second one after a second so as to differentiate between vehicles stopping beyond the white line and those actually crossing on red?

What will EAC pay per kWh exported to the grid under the net-billing scheme? For how long will the price be guaranteed?

Re: Hard to find at Paphos supermarkets....
I heard that there is an organic food shop in Polis that sells Sauerkraut. It's named "The Organic Haven" or similar. I've never been there myself though, so I can't confirm.

What I've been doing in Germany was to order mail forwarding for 1 year, so that zI picked up on those I had forgotten to inform. I guess you can do that in Cyprus as well.

Re: Sunshine this spring nearly 50 % up in UK and .....
Think the answer to your question would be yes, especially on an island and near the coast, where most turbines are in the UK. I would have thought so as well. Let´s hope you´re right, as the performance of my investment in a UK windfarm company has left a lot to be desired due to below average ele...

What effect does an increase of sunshine have on the production of wind energy? Shouldn't it increase as well?

Re: Net Metering being replaced by Net Billing
I think you are. The biggest risk that comes with net billing is that you have no guarantee that you'll get paid as much for exported units as you pay for those you'll be importing.

Inline skating North of Paphos?
Are there any pathways North of Paphos that are suitable for inline-skating ( i.e. no gravel, no sand, no steep inclinations, not on main roads etc.)?

Re: Car Port
I received a building permit for a garage directly attached to the boundary wall. So the requirement of 3 m distance from the border does seem to be handled in a flexible way. I seem to remember er that my architect had spoken to the owner of the neighbouring property to get her consent.

Re: The Forum Server is under attack
I don't think it was a competitor or anything like that. More likely it was just a bit of software that searches out phpBB forums and tries to crash the server. The hope is that in its broken state they can access the nuts and bolts of a broken system. Sorry for asking such a stupid question: What ...

Re: Good news for photo-voltaic electricity producer in CY
Well, it would reduce the need for the EAC to generate electricity from fossil fuels. That after all, is where the main cost is incurred, isn't it? Nope it doesnt. under the net metering arrangement the export credit does reduce the fossil fuel at the time the surplus PV it is exported. But when it...
