Re: DIY wills
Do you even need a will? I had a general power of attorney from my mother, valid beyond her death until revoked by her heirs. I never needed a certificate of death or inheritance to get access to her assets and close her accounts, just my PoA. She had a yellow slip, but no assets in Cprus. Everythin...

They should encourage / subsidize buying batteries on a household level. That should have quite an impact. I can´t understand anyway, why batteries in Cyprus are so much more expensive than they are e.g. in Germany.

Jan 2026: 330 kWh
Jan. 2025: 387 kWh
Jan 2024: 307 kWh
Jan 2023: 353 kWh
Jan 2022: 330 kWh
Jan 2021: 333 kWh

So I´d say nothing to write home about. Or should I say nothing to be posting about?

I've tried repeatedly to open a Revolut account - to no available. They didn't recognise my passport, nor my German ID card during the identifikation process. So I opened a Wise-account. No problems so far.

Re: Solar Panels and cleaning
It maybe doesn't fully get through the layers of dust.. But certainly it mainly gets through as shown by my electric reading and the bill If (even with dust) I am making more electricity than I use, I don't see the point in being over bothered about cleaning the panels. Bear in mind the original qu...

Sad news. I liked his posts and was hoping to have a chance to meet up with him once I'll have moved to the Paphos district. Hopefully, he didn't have to suffer.

Now I've become curious and asked Google gemini. According to this the fine for stopping before the intersection is €25, but for crossing the intersection it is € 300.

Re: Caught at the traffic lights
more than one picture taken.. And the offence is crossing the white line on a red signal.. So if no part of the car moves over a white line you should not get a fine.. Surely, the fine will be higher if you cross the intersection than if you only cross the white line by a few centimetres, won't it?

Re: Caught at the traffic lights
Will the camera take one picture only, or a second one after a second so as to differentiate between vehicles stopping beyond the white line and those actually crossing on red?

I heard that there is an organic food shop in Polis that sells Sauerkraut. It's named "The Organic Haven" or similar. I've never been there myself though, so I can't confirm.

What I've been doing in Germany was to order mail forwarding for 1 year, so that zI picked up on those I had forgotten to inform. I guess you can do that in Cyprus as well.

Re: Sunshine this spring nearly 50 % up in UK and .....
Think the answer to your question would be yes, especially on an island and near the coast, where most turbines are in the UK. I would have thought so as well. Let´s hope you´re right, as the performance of my investment in a UK windfarm company has left a lot to be desired due to below average ele...

Re: Net Metering being replaced by Net Billing
I think you are. The biggest risk that comes with net billing is that you have no guarantee that you'll get paid as much for exported units as you pay for those you'll be importing.
