I confess to being a grammar pedant because if adults can't be bothered what chance is there for children!
Plus that kind of misspellings makes it difficult to read - especially if you´re not a native speaker. It makes me "stumble" while reading. Annoying!

Re: Big state pension rise

Still keeps the U.K. pension one of the lowest in the EU. You Brits should count yourselves lucky not to be German pensioners. There is no set minimum raise at all in Germany. However, pensions dropped by 30% after reunification because the pension pot now has to be shared with all the Eastern Germ...

Re: €85m cost for emissions to be passed on to consumers

It is iniquitous that the consumer, who has no say in the matter, has to pay the price for EAC's shortcomings. Who else should have to pay? The taxpayer (given that the EAC is a public authority)? At least with the current system the consumer has some influence. They could save energy or (in many c...

Re: Dominic Locking Brexit Thread

That's a hefty price to pay with, as far as I can see, not one tangible benefits to leaving. There clearly has been a benefit already. It helped to promote art. Or do you think this picture would have sold for 12 million had it not been for Brexit: https://www.luxuo.com/culture/culture-featured/ban...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Where did I say "each and every voter" knew about the single market? I didn't. Well, my point was that the referendum was only about leaving the EU (not the single market nor the custums union) and therefore, there is no justification for claiming that the referendum should be regarded a vote to le...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

However do please back up your assertion that I said each and every voter knew about it already. Please, post where I said that. As per your wish: . The British people voted, they weighed up the pros and cons I am sure, and satisfied themselves, that is, each and every person who voted. Oh dear, th...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Nope, yet again you are wrong, so much so it's becoming slightly embarrassing. I said, many posts ago, and in response to your constant lie, that British voters were actually told that a vote to leave was also a vote to leave the single market. I'm sorry you fail, repeatedly to grasp that very, ver...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Differences Between the European Customs Union and the Single Market Although both the EU Customs Union and the European Single Market are formed primarily by the member states of the EU, there are some fundamental differences between these two entities. It is possible for a country to be a member ...

No, I'm not saying it now, I didn't say it yesterday, and I have never said, or even hinted at it before. I do hope that clarifies it for you. Really not? we did vote to leave the single market Really not Jeba, and as you obviously have time on your hands, for clarification I suggest you re-read wh...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Again you repeat a lie, and it does you no service. I offered you the evidence, it didn't suit your argument so you denied it. Again, up to you. However, if you get comfort from believing that particular lie then so be it. I see little point in further debate. Are you saying that there was a mentio...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

I'm not failing to acknowledge anything including the fact that Britain is leaving the EU. Saying the same thing over and over, as you are, (which incidentally is wrong, we did vote to leave the single market) won't make it correct. The referendum was done in a perfectly legal manner, under British...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

So, my posting the results of the referendum is taken by you that I agree on your point? Let me make it really plain, for you. People made a choice, they ticked a box, it was their choice, the vote was to leave. Now, to me, that is really quite simple and no amount of arguing, debating, twisting fa...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

I shall refer you to my post just above yours. So we agree that 2 % of voters who feel that they voted leave based on wrong assumptions about the implications would have sufficed to change the outcome and that therefore there is no legitimacy in claiming that the UK should not only leave the EU but...

I don't do "vague guesses" I was suggesting other people might not know beyond one, not I. Neither did I suggest anything about 2 % that was you, so your whole line of questioning is completely pointless to me. Sorry, but are avoiding the question. Which was how you can be so sure that not even 2% ...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Your definition of educating the voters can be as different as many others. Is there a standard to which we should adhere? Yes, the minimum should be that the ballot paper is clear on what the vote is about. If there is a vote to leave the EU it shouldn´t be regarded a vote to leave the common mark...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

So when you said people don't seem to care, you didn't actually mean that? Or did you? I'm slightly confused as you seem to be saying one thing then another. When I wrote that people don´t seem to care I wasn´t referring to the referendum itself but to the subsequent discussion. At the time of the ...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Just because Cameron (or anyone else) said something on a TV programme, doesn’t mean it was absorbed by the populace.... Exactly. Plus even if the argument that Cameron mentioned the common market was a sound argument -which I don´t think it is- it would still not justify pulling out of the customs...

So, even though the Prime Minister informed the country what a leave vote would mean in regards to the single market, that, according to you isn't good enough? No. It would only have been good enough it this was stated on the ballot paper. Plus there would have to be stated that it meant leaving th...
