Are there any pathways North of Paphos that are suitable for inline-skating ( i.e. no gravel, no sand, no steep inclinations, not on main roads etc.)?
The closer to Polemi, the better.

Re: Car Port
I received a building permit for a garage directly attached to the boundary wall. So the requirement of 3 m distance from the border does seem to be handled in a flexible way. I seem to remember er that my architect had spoken to the owner of the neighbouring property to get her consent.

Re: The Forum Server is under attack
I don't think it was a competitor or anything like that. More likely it was just a bit of software that searches out phpBB forums and tries to crash the server. The hope is that in its broken state they can access the nuts and bolts of a broken system. Sorry for asking such a stupid question: What ...

Re: Good news for photo-voltaic electricity producer in CY
Well, it would reduce the need for the EAC to generate electricity from fossil fuels. That after all, is where the main cost is incurred, isn't it? Nope it doesnt. under the net metering arrangement the export credit does reduce the fossil fuel at the time the surplus PV it is exported. But when it...

Re: EAC - Panels
Hasn't there recently been a decision by Parliament for the EAC to purchase battery storage systems? Shouldn't that fix the problem (providing the'll buy enough of them)?

Re: Using solar energy during periods of curtailment
I remember reading an article reporting that legislation is being discussed to allow for a device to be installed which will allow you to keep using the electricity you're producing during curtailment.

Re: EAC produces misleading figures to back up curtailments
I'm wondering why the cost of batteries is so much higher in Cyprus than in e. g. Germany. We're talking about a factor of 2-3. Is there anything stopping you from importing them? I'm guessing both EU countries, there should be no restrictions on importing them. There may be no restrictions on impo...

Re: Increase Vitamin D level these days....
There are plenty of studies, showing that our body is clever enough to avoid too high levels of Vitamin D through sun exposure, unlike supplementation when the dose is more than 4000 IU/day which can produce problems in the long run.... Max You can always have your blood levels tested. It´s not tha...

Re: EAC produces misleading figures to back up curtailments
The problem with batteries is the cost. I was quoted €6000 for a 5kWh battery. It might make more sense to get an electric car and that for energy storage.

The technology may be great, however you'd need to build a hydrogen infrastructure. I don't see that happening.

Once a year or so Lidl has cans of German Sauerkraut. I use a pressure cooker to cook it.
