Re: Water Bill

A chap in Polemi had a water bill for around €1500.00. He was out of the country for a lengthy period and when he came back a house had been built next door to him. His normal bill was about €30.00 so, probably correctly ,he suspected the builders had used his water. He obviously challenged the bill...

Re: Immigration today ...

I was enquiring because my partner cannot apply for the MEU3 since she has only resided in Cyprus for 3 years. We are both in the Gesy system and receive the full healthcare that system provides. Therefore I am still unsure what immediate benefits an MEU3 would be to me because if my partner has to ...

Re: Immigration today ...

If you have an mue1 why do you need to get involved in the rush at immigration for an meu3 ? What is the advantage of one over the other as things stand currently.

Re: Bank accounts and transfers to UK.

As mentioned above Trev. Transferwise offer a speedy and cheap method of moving dosh from a Cyprus bank account to the UK. I use it on a regular basis to the kids accounts etc and never had a problem. I believe you have to upload proof of id such as passport but you should have no problem.

Re: Mayor of Paphos locks horns with Unesco over new Paphos jetty

I can understand both parties in this dispute. On one hand the Mayor has always regarded his role is to improve the appearance of Paphos and to attract business into the area in an attempt to compete with other major cities on the island but Unesco are concerned that a large influx of tourists from ...

Re: Tender for new Paphos-Polis road to be launched next month

I am not saying a new road to Polis isn't required but that it would be better to make it 4 lane, 2 up and 2 down. I thought the new road was to improve safety and also cut journey time whilst relieving congestion through Paphos. My partner witnessed an horrendous head on collision on the polis road...
