Re: Flying to UK from Larnaca..
I flew back to the UK on 11th March ( and have subsequently returned to Cyprus). Unless you have pre booked your covid tests for days 2 and 8 in UK you are not allowed to board the aircraft. Check in staff at LCA carefully checked all my documentation. The tests were waiting for me at my UK house. ...

Re: Flying to UK from Larnaca..
Was trying to say be careful whom you book with, some want you to take the test at the airport, some offer a test done at a pharmacy (apparently you can leave home for a medical appointment) How can you take at the airport, when you arrive? This does not surprise me, another total fu** up by the uk...

Re: Flying to UK from Larnaca..
Is it also true that if you arrive in the UK with proof of 2 ( anti Covid) vaccinations all the above pfaff still applies? It seems to me that until the UK population is fully vaccinated and all this expensive inconvenience is dropped, it is better to delay visiting the UK! Dee I am not visiting, I...

Re: Flying to UK from Larnaca..
Wensbry is correct in his response as regards current UK Gov requirements for entries from Cyprus. If matters change and Cyprus is placed on the Red List, that will then require staying in a Government Quarantine Hotel for 10 days at a cost of £1,750 an adult, or £2,400 for a couple.....test costs ...

Re: Flying to UK from Larnaca..
I have just booked with BA (300% cheaper than all the others for once). And a screen flashed up saying I need to also do a test on 2nd and 8th day.. And have them booked... Well this is just more of a farce! Anyone else had to do this flying back?? It is a UK requirement when arriving from Cyprus t...

Re: Flying to UK from Larnaca..
I thought this was pretty much common knowledge? The UK newspapers and TV news bulletins are full of stories re. testing when flying in to the UK from abroad - even worse if you have to pay £1,200 per person to stay for a week in one of the government's appointed hotels... and still pay for testing...

Re: YELLOW SLIP - DIP IN UK AND BACK
BEFORE doing anything with regard to bringing goods or vehicles over you need to talk with a competent Import agent. It was bad enough when the UK was in the EU, but you simply cannot afford to bring goods here unless you have been thoughly advised on all the correct documentation to accompany your...

For the current rules on what the UK requires for a British person to leave the UK( which is currenttly forbidden unless you can produce an acceptable reason for urgent travel) Your best bet is to contact the BHC in Nicosia. They should be able to tell you. Dee https://www.visahq.com/united-kingdom...

Re: YELLOW SLIP - DIP IN UK AND BACK
You dont need any colour slip to get out, you just need as passport, and any covid tests the UK requires I suspect the OP means how can he get out of the UK before May 17th. As I read it, if you have a holiday home abroad and are selling it, or getting it ready to sell, that's a sufficient reason t...

Re: YELLOW SLIP - DIP IN UK AND BACK
Whilst you will be able to get out of Cyprus I can't imagine too many European countries would allow you to drive through them with a van full of stuff. Most of Europe are in some sort of lockdown with closed borders. Also, how do you propose getting to Cyprus, you will not be allowed to come in vi...

I am resident of cyprus, with yellow slip, had it since November. Currently in Cyprus. I want to go back to the UK for 2 or 3 weeks. Then drive back to cyprus with certain belongings in a van. I know they have issues getting out at the moment. Would I be able to use my yellow slip to get out, should...
