Re: Average water usage and swimming pool evaporation
I cover the pool on alternate nights and whilst covered the overnight evaporation is reduced to nil. The downside is that the temperature can rise to 34

Petrol
Thought I noticed petrol in town this morning at 178 point something. On the way home topped up with half a tank (25.84 litres) and was surprised at the cost of €47 when looking at the receipt it read €39.50 plus €7.50 vat. I thought the vat had been suspended for the rest of this year, or have they...

Re: Does your last EAC bill looks wiggy?
I just send a photo of our meter on the 16th of even numbered months to Maria at EAC. No more estimated bills, perhaps the meter man was wary of our dog.

Noise
Anyone know what the continuous buzzing noise is near Stephanie/Lofus? Sounds like a microlite aircraft but has been going on for days.

Re: Medical Insurance and Gesy; a difficult decision
Like a lot of people we are undecided wether to continue our private medical insurance, having paid for the last twenty years. If we had banked the premiums since coming to Cyprus considering interest rates in the early years we would have a pot approaching 100,000 euros. However, my main gripe is t...

Re: CovScan application mandatory for SafePass checks
Am I being a bit slow. Where is the added security? what’s to stop anyone from copying their safe pass many times and passing it to others. I’ve transposed our passport photos on to our passes. At most establishments where we have produced them they comment on the improved security.

Re: AZ vaccine
Our second AZ jabs this morning. Appointments at 8.30 & 8,45, despite there being around a couple of hundred people there when we arrived at 08.00 names were called according to appointment time so were out by 9.15 including 15 mins resting. Very efficient. The AZ desk is on the left and the Mod...

Re: Laminate Flooring
We have around 40 sq metres of laminate floor on tiles in our lounge installed almost twenty years ago. Recommend using the best quality as any dampness or spillage will result in the joins lifting. Ours have a thin layer of foam sponge between the existing floor and the laminate and each piece is g...

Re: Tax form 2019
Methinks the TIC number is the TAX IDENTIFICATION CODE issued to you when you applied to be taxed in Cyprus. Mine we already entered on the Taxisnet form, also quoting both my pension providers. All it left me to do was fill in the total income received from each, euros and cents separated by a comm...
