Re: Free healthcare comes at a price

Thank yoiu Mrblobby

Like the poster in the link I am not sure if it applies to everyone with a S1 if it wasn't submitted with GESY application. Certainly worth a try though.

Re: Free healthcare comes at a price

Some UK expat pensioners applied for GESY with a MEU3 and were not asked to provide confirmation of a S1. How can they get an exemption certificate, I wonder?

Re: Paphos hospital criticised for ongoing works at A&E

Any suggestions for a private doctor who will do the driving licence test?

Thank you.

Re: GESY AND S1

I haven't received an email like this either on the GESY website or by normal email even though I queried this some time ago with GESY. As I have mentioned previously my bank has already taken a contribution to GESY on bank interest, so what are we supposed to do with this confirmation letter, I won...

I was charged more for some of my Gesy meds. Pharmacist said only the cheapest were 1 euro but if the cheapest wasn't available you had to pay the difference..

Re: first experience visiting GESY doctor

I phoned this morning for my first appointment with the GESY doctor with whom I am registered. First available appointment June 26th! So now I am wondering, presuming there are some private doctors left in Pafos, who are they? Are the GESY doctors who were private still accessible with a private app...

Re: New health service

Following on from the original posting and my comment the next day, here is the reply from GESY: We would like to inform you that since you are a S1 holder you are not obligate to pay any contributions for the GESY. In the following period a relevant announcement will be published where all S1 holde...

Re: New health service

I have registered using the S1 route but noticed last week that a contribution to GESY has been taken from my bank account on some interest earned.

Have emailed GESY for clarification.

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Joseph K This happened to me. The problem was that on my keyboard the shift plus symbols are interchanged. What happened was that I put in the hashtag and it came out as something else and I didn't realise at first as the passcode is starred out as you enter it. Ended up using a symbol that did work...

Re: GESY ... clear as mud

Following on from my earlier post - does anyone know that if you register with a private doctor who refers you for a test e.g. blood test, a scan etc, and these providers are not registered with GESY, do we have to pay the full price or a NHS price? I am not registered with a private GP at present b...

Re: GESY ... clear as mud

If you sign with a private doctor in the scheme I take it you don't pay the private doctor's fee you do now? If you have a prescription from a private doctor in the scheme how long is the prescription valid for eg at the GH it's two months as we know? Does anyone know that?

Re: Supermarket security!

Slightly different - I was surprised to see an armed policeman outside The Mall when I went before Christmas. I would have expected a security guard employed by the The Mall, but I'm sure this was the police.

Re: AMAZON DELIVERY

Ordered some tablets from Amazon on Wednesday 19th Dec. There were six tubs in all and delivery was via Royal Mail. Bit disappointed as previous orders of same product, albeit different supplier, were delivered to the door by DHL. Coming by post I assumed I would have to go the the PO and collect. D...

Re: Cyprus Driving Licence

Chris&Pam Where are you getting the eye test? I understood that if you went privately for a medial for the driving licence the doctor took care of the eye test. Otherwise it was to go to the General Hospital and see the optician, or is it the eye doctor doctor there, for which I think you have to ma...

Flossie

Would you please tell us where we can buy it?

I did have some many years ago when I was fit and healthy and probably didn't need it as I can't remember it doing much. Looks like it's worth another try.

Thanks
