Re: Music on Remembrance Sunday

He lo Lloyd.
No, still looking. I emailed the Royal British Legion to see if they could help as the music choice is theirs.

Still waiting for a reply. From your posts I see that Classical Music is an interest of yours. I’ll advise as soo as I know

Re: Glasses...

Just had both lenses changed/updated.

Varifocals, plus Reactolites ( photochromic) - €130

The Reactolites have been improved by the manufacturer, so that they go from 100% transmission to very very dark

Need a good Plumber urgently

Seem to be having problems with our pressure water pump, which keeps failing and depriving the house of water. Urgent cups of tea, not to mention sanitary arrangements disrupted I’d be grateful for a PM recommendation for a plumber who could exchange the water pump for a new one Also, have been quot...

Music on Remembrance Sunday

Had the pleasure of attending again, the British Legion service of remembrance last Sunday, at the harbour. For the life of me I can’t remember the title of one of the pieces of music, and this year, the details weren’t in the programme. The title that I’m looking for was part of the music played wh...

What is. A VPN?

I’m hearing/ seeing a fair number of adverts telling me that I should have a VPN What is a VPN? Should I have one? Would it interfere or restrict my IPTV supply in any way, or constrain the supplier ( one of the companies known to this board who operate in the Paphos area) What are the benefits? Con...

Re: Title Deeds - Source of Purchase Funds

Had a similar experience when opening a second bank account recently. Same question. We were asked to make a declaration ( written on the application form, that the funds came from the sale of our UK property. We weren’t asked for any further proof but we do have the completion statement provided by...

Re: Crossing to North Pyrgos

It will make life easier if you take the vehicle logbook. All of the required information is there. Whether you’re going for 3 days or a month, the cost is just the same. The crossing posts have this off to a fine art. Just be sure to take your vehicle docs. They will don the rest You might consider...

Confusion reigns... Turned up to the Hospital this morning to see one of the Specialists, having been given today’s appointment 4 moths ago - by the Specialist Turned away at reception and told to go and get a referral from my GP,. Clearly not able to be seen today. Has anyone navigated this process...

Re: Where IS the most expensive Carlsberg in Paphos?

@mouse. Thanks for your response. Let see... You “ bet” that the rents are not cheap? You’ve never been in there? You assume that it’s a posy/ posh place? Hmm. Where do you get your information from? Still have freedom of choice, and still drinking Carlsberg. What started out as a Public Service Ann...

@HIC...Though their prices were competitive and their food amazing,

Surely this runs contrary to the Cyprus Restaurateurs handbook....”if trade is going down, put 5he prices up!!

Re: Where IS the most expensive Carlsberg in Paphos?

@david at LWH. I think that the idea of value for money is evading you. Given that beer is the same quality in all of the location, what is the added value to paying the extra cost. Just a quick one..... Location: tourist area- say the Harbour Cost of a 63cl Carlsberg €2.75. Let’s call this the benc...

Re: Where IS the most expensive Carlsberg in Paphos?

What I expected was Tourist prices.
What I got was Tourist +++

Still, I have invested 6 euros in a lesson which says that there will be no follow on business. Probably a small price to pay for extortionism

Where IS the most expensive Carlsberg in Paphos?

Bearing in mind that I get through a fair number of 24 “slabs” over the Summer, I like to think that I’m reasonably attuned to the cost of the amber liquid. However, whilst out shopping today in the old town, we called at the bar at the top of Kinyras street, in the pedestrianised bit in Kennedy squ...
