Re: Brexit Bill

I was merely correcting Lofos-5 who was suggesting that Cyprus was a net contributor. It isn't. So you infer that Cyprus is not bothered about a mere €70 million and you also imply that Cypriots would not have a clue about net contributions but they certainly do know about the wrongs of the UK leavi...

Re: The Backstop

Oh for goodness sake Jim if you are not on the electoral register how do you expect to be sent voting papers and I believe your tens of thousands is a gross exaggeration. As the PM and Government at the time were pro remain do you not think they would have done all they could to ensure as many as po...

Re: The Backstop

As far as I am aware the only UK citizens not allowed to vote were those who had lived out of the country for 15 years or more. Now rightly or wrongly that is the law and also applies to general elections so it was not just for the referendum.

Re: Brexit Bill

I can only find the information for 2017 but certainly for that year Cyprus contributed 0.137 billion but received 0.207 billion so if my maths are correct Cyprus received 0.07 billion more than they contributed.

Re: So...will the Remainers predictions come true?

Why would any Brexiteers respond to such an insulting post implying that we require red ink to fully understand the post. As I posted the other day when you resort to insults you lose the argument.

Re: Brexit Bill

I always feel that once you are scraping the barrel with personal derogatory comments then you really are losing the argument. I simply described Boris as I saw him. My view is unchanged. Are you able to perhaps set me straight with some of Boris's more flattering attributes, as you see them? I had...

Brexit Bill

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/aug/25/boris-johnson-no-deal-uk-brexit-divorce-bill It appears that numerous articles are now stating that should we leave with No Deal then our legal commitments are only about 9 billion - leaves us a fair bit to counteract what has already been spent in pr...

Re: EU Trade Deals

Methinks you are becoming a tad paranoid HIC! You are basically accusing Jimgym of lying and if you really believe that the EU take principled stances then you really are losing the plot!!
