Wind power needs to be expanded.I ride a bike so am aware how many windy days there are and you would be surprised. The turbines at Kouklia turn the majority of days during autumn, winter and spring. I think it needs expanding, alongside much more use of solar and batteries.

It is more noticeable in winter when one appliance, our pool heater, is consuming around 3Kwh and our panels are producing around 3Kwh, and we are exporting to the grid but also consuming electric from the grid, as shown by our meter.

When we first got our pv panels, I noticed that I was importing electric from the grid, even though I was producing 5Kw. I did an experiment in the winter when I was producing around 3.5kw in an hour. I put an aircon unit on heat, which would be using around 2.5kw but I still imported from the grid....
