I have no wish to bore with my story but last week I spent time with professor Brian Saunders who is the leading consultant Gastroenterologist and specialist Endoscopist at The London Clinic. During the consultation he advised me that, not only my two sons but anyone reaching the age of 50 should co...

Have you ever gone back to that old tube of silicone sealant, only to find that it has cured in the Cyprus heat ? Well I did exactly that and decided to remove the cured sealant from it`s tube. As you can see I cut some discs about 8mm thick and used them as anti-vibration mounts under a noisy water...

Re: What sort of tree is it?
PhotoLady. quite confusing. The close up of your branch is not what i expected but on searching into your flicker account photos I can zoom into the branch configuration and it differs from your last post. Re: What sort of tree is it?
Photolady. Post a close up of your leaf configuration. It is difficultto identify a tree without this. there are very similar trees in this world but the answer lies in the detail. Also old and new growth stems are different in colour.

If my conversion means you need to use a calculator, forget it.
Everybody knows the kilometer / mile conversion, because it is well publicised.

I know from experience that some people cannot relate centimeters to inches using mental arithmetic. If you are old school, yards, feet and inches, you can convert centimeters to inches using a multiplication of 4 . i.e. 60 cms x 4 =240 remove the zero and using common sense reach a figure of 24 inc...
