Re: GPS who knows?

Dominic. There isn't a great deal in Tremithousa! The nearest to us is St Georges church, which is fairly impressive! The car park has an heli pad which is used at Christmas to bring presents for the children. There is an entertainment area where they hold soirees every now and then. The pub is "Oll...

Re: GPS who knows?

ΑΓΙΟΥ ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΥ. I was having a search around yesterday and found that it is on Google offline maps. Go...

Probably because your GPS app doesn't have your street name in its list. If so, try a different GPS app.
Devil, its not my app! I know where i live. My sons sat nav and the florist, (two different apps?) ,neither could find it.

GPS who knows?

Question for you knowledgeable folk out there! We have discovered that GPS stops at the mini roundabout in our village. The first time my son visited he had to phone me for directions because the sat nav couldn't find it! I forgot about it until yesterday when a florist had the same problem! What is...

Re: Cyprus Tax Declaration from 2019

PWC give a detailed report on tax in Cyprus. ALL people in Cyprus with an income, domiciled or not, under or over the personal allowance have to fill in a return! It is to establish accountability for GESY purposes. UK have exemption but you have to apply for it, or they may deduct it from ur bank! ...

Re: Free healthcare comes at a price

A friend has pointed out a glitch in the system. Her PD prescribed one packet of 28 tablets for one month. But the pharmacy does not hold packets of 28, only 14 and can only issue one packet under that prescription, so my friend is left having to pay for the second packet. Presumably, glitches like...

I was asked only this morning if i knew of a rental. It happens fairly frequently here. Not surprisingly, it is a lovely village apart from the rubbish left strewn in hedgerows by some people.

Re: Paphos hospital criticised for ongoing works at A&E

I think JimX's experience and subsequent throwing of his teddy out the pram is solely due to his poor judgement in, first of all his choice of GP and, secondly, his chosen route to get the documentation he requires. At the beginning of September I went to my GP, based at the Paphos General and imme...

Re: Immigration

It opens at 7.30a.m. People start arriving at 7a.m. in order to get in fairly quickly, when you arrive there is a reception on the left hand side. Go there with your appt paper and they will give you a numbered ticket. Our appt was 10- 12 and we arrived at 10.20. It was packed. We had number 44 and ...

It has just been on BBC,people up in arms in Brighton! An independent assessor was brought in. 3 meters from the mast top was less than 10% of the recommended safety levels. A few meters away, ( he was on a house roof) it was less than 2%. He also said the basic technology is no different than that ...

I would speak to the lawyer. Our house was one of several that went was owned by a developer who went into liquidation. 17 million owing by the develper. We had memos against the developer on our property and the lawyer got them lifted. So that should be her first port of call.

I got some at Leroy Merlin about 18 months ago and they were half the price of the ones I found in Paphos. I was there getting something else at the time, but a bit far to go to save a few euro otherwise!

MOH took the hearing test at the general (before GESY). The results were emailed to Hearing Direct in UK, along with the choice of aid selected and extra batteries ordered. Within the week, they were back. Any queries were answered quickly, and after the next test the aids were posted back, while th...

There is a good site re:cancer and natural cures. "The truth about cancer" gives tips on what to eat, what to avoid and many stories from people who have recovered from various cancers without chemo and radiation. There is another one for diabetes too.
