We've ordered the Lithofin Polish Care Cream from Amazon DE which has had good reviews. Thanks for all the replies.

Re: Water Based Satin Finish in White - FEEDBACK

Just thought we'd give some feedback. We eventually went for Pelelac from Super Home, undercoat + satin finish top coat. We sandpapered off all the old solvent based paint, and wiped down with sugar soap. This morning we have put on the undercoat. Brilliant paint, goes on nice and smooth. We'll defi...

Re: How much do you pay for a car-wash?

We use the Eko Garage on the way to Geriskipou, on the occasions that we don't do it ourselves. €10 inside and out, or €5 for just the outside. Good service.

Re: Restoring the shine to marble worktop

Many thanks, Paul and Lesley. We've been looking on-line too. I'm hoping that someone can offer advice from experience, maybe using products purchased in Paphos. Thanks again.

Restoring the shine to marble worktop

Our bathroom marble top has lost it's shine after many years. Does anyone have any tips on how to restore it in a reasonably simple way.

Thanks

Re: Water Based Satin Finish in White for door frames

Has anyone used Benjamin Moore's white elastomeric paint on internal door frames? We've used it on our exterior door frame and it's lasted for years and has remained brilliant while, although it does show brush marks.

Water Based Satin Finish in White - FEEDBACK

We are moving away from solvent based paint, particularly indoors, as we both have problems with the fumes. We're currently looking for a good water based satin finish brilliant white paint for our internal door frames. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated, particularly on thickness of paint...

Most of the DIY stores have them. I think we bought ours from Super Home.

Re: Legal advice - communal property

Actually JB, our complex has been doing this for several years by enlisting volunteers. We have someone to handle the finance and someone to produce the accounts twice a year. We have three cheque book signatories. It's very uncomplicated and we've kept the costs way down as a result.

Re: Legal advice - communal property

As matter of interest, are there any small complexes running themselves successfully without feeling the need to have a MC? It may be against the current law but does it avoid complications?

Form for renewing Driving Licence

A friend needs to renew his driving licence next month. He knows he's required to have an eye test - no problem. The question is about the accompanying form that needs to be completed. Does it have to be completed when you're there for your appointment at either the main Post Office or the Citizen's...

Re: Replacing old aircon units with inverters

Thanks all. We are having the inverters installed by Green Air but Andreas has just advised us that while they will take away the old units before having the inverters installed, it's not part of their service to repair the roof beforehand should there be any damage from lifting the old units. It wi...

Replacing old aircon units with inverters

We are considering having all our old aircon units replaced with inverters. They were installed on our flat roof about 10 years ago. We have been told that it's not quite as simple as removing the old ones, and replacing with the new. Damage will almost certainly be caused to the flat roof surface w...
