Re: Thalassa Hotel Renovations
Yes, I remember this hotel being built about 12 years before Covid! It was billed as Leptos new Luxury Boutique Hotel. I was resident at Kamares then, and a member of the Residents Association Committee. We were invited by Leptos to view the new Hotel before it opened. It was very luxe. I remember t...

Re: Travel Medication
A friend of mine needed the Malaria jab ( along with several others) before a trip to the Far East.
He had all his jabs at the General Hospital, but one-of them had to be ordered which took a week.
So best you ask at the General to make sure.

Window Cleaner wanted?
Hi, can anyone recommend a good window cleaner in the Chloraka area, please?
I just returned and would like to get my windows cleaned as soon as possible. My usual one unable to do it at present.
Many thanks for any useful suggestions.

Re: Obsolete swimming pool laws poised to change
Who knows? This swimming pool legislation is still a mess as regards larger complexes. Also ridiculous if hotels can manage to keep their pools open with-or without a lifeguard.

Re: Obsolete swimming pool laws poised to change
I hope that Russel Fricks petition bears fruit! Even the possible revision of pool laws I read, isn't any answer for complexes where people either own or rent properties.and share the complex's pool. Ours complies with all the regs, having, showers, toilets and changing rooms. It is professionally m...

Chris &Pam,
Yes you are correct, its the same building. You will be ushered to a room off the Reception/ waiting room. The actual procedure is quite quick. You have your photo taken and your fingerprints.

Re: Pet proof fly screens
Not a sliding fly screen, but a hinged fly screen for the front doorway. I had this made by the business in Chloraka who make all kinds of aluminum screens, window frames , fly screens etc. I asked for the stronger aluminum mesh infill, which cost extra, but is much stronger than the normal one. So f...

Re: Wipers
These people are a pain! I encountered them in a carpark at Papa’s in Chloraka. He was v persistent and even tried to touch my wipers. I shouted No, then No again. My shouts attracted support from other drivers and I threatened to report him. He left at speed.

Try Top Quotes, Chlorakas. They arranged my travel insurance. As no doubt you know insurance premiums for senior citizens are loaded specially for travel to USA, but a lot depends on your state of health and any pr- existing health conditions.

I had an appointment at St George's last week. I rang the specialists secretary to enquire. No test required she said. But they like you to wear a mask. Seems as if different hospitals have different rules.

Fishbeardsunset, it sounds as if you, having arrived after the UK's Brexit agreement, have come here under different terms to many of us who have been living here previously ( before Brexit) as EU citizens. If this is so then the subject being talked about on this post may not apply to you.

Re: Biometric Card - 2026
Has anyone noticed that since Brexit, our status as EU citizens is past? We have become 3rd world citizens. Thus every time one needs to go to a Govt office, procedures to upgrade any document have become more complicated? As I do sometimes want to travel to other EU countries its worth keeping up w...
