Re: Caught at the traffic lights

I rang the Cycamera helpline (80008009). They talked me through the whole process ending up by paying through the JCC (you have to open an account). Just to add to the discussion above, it was a 25 EURO fine for a stop line violation. From the photo, I stopped just over the white line. At least I kn...

Re: Caught at the traffic lights

Thanks for your help 71 Trans Am. I still might register with the Ministry of Transport to check my full postal address was correctly input into their system back in 2020 (can't tell from the registration document as it only shows a few words).

Re: Caught at the traffic lights

Apologies for bringing up this older item. I just checked to see if I have anything outstanding. On the cycamera website, it says I have a citation going back to September 24. However, when I check on the police.jcc site, it says no pending warrants. I've received nothing though the post. Does anybo...

Re: Income Tax

Hi Uncl D. Apologies, the fullstop at the end was my mistake. If you go to the Homepage on the Cyprus Tax Office website, at the bottom of the page there is "Contact'. Click on that and it goes to another page. The email address is there. Click on that and it will open an Outlook email draft me...

Re: Income Tax

Sheer Khan & Uncle D, whenever i've had difficulties, I've contacted the Cyprus Tax Head Office in Nicosia. Their website shows their contact email address as [email protected]. They've always replied pretty quickly with help.

Re: Income Tax

Polly, trevnhil is right. It's better to register and submit returns, regardless of what your income may be.

Re: Income Tax

Noticed today that you can log on to both Taxisnet and the Taxportal. Taxportal must have been down when I tried to log on 16 January. Taxforall website doesn't give any notification as to 2025 Income Tax but I see that the 'Account Activation Instructions" only refer to VAT.

Income Tax

I know it's a bit early yet but does anybody have any information as to what the tax arrangements are going to be from this year? You can still log on to Taxisnet but not the Taxportal. I know plans were to put everything on the new Taxforall system but we still ended up doing the 2023 returns on Ta...

Re: 2023 Temporay Tax

Hi josef k. I just logged into the taxportal so the system seems to be working. Did you also enter the 'Capcha' code that generates when logging in? As an aside, I managed to answer my own question. I found online (can't remember where now!) a guide in english on how to use the taxportal including m...

2023 Temporay Tax

Has anybody had any success paying the 1st installment of the 2023 Temporary Tax through the Taxportal please? I ask this as you can no longer pay through the JCC. After logging on to the Taxportal and going to 'my account', none of the options/codes show any reference to installments. Any help woul...

Re: 3 mtr Satellite Dish

Apologies for hijacking this thread but has anybody recently been able to get their satellite dish removed please? I know the scrap dealers do removals but is there anyone else? Mine is an old 2.7 metre dish. Thanks in advance.

Cyprus Taxportal

Has anybody managed to get into the taxportal recently? On login, it asks for the usual username, password and captcha but now also asks for an 'additional pin' number. The Ministry of Finance website doesn't give any instructions how to get this. Does anbody know how to do this please? Thanks in ad...

Does anybody know please if it is still possible to buy Johnstones fence stain anywhere in Paphos? I must admit, I've not seen it in any DIY stores I have visited recently. Perhaps it's no longer brought onto the island?

Cypriot White Medical Cards

The question of these cards has come up on this site recently regarding dates on the 2020 Taxisnet return. Does anybody know please if these cards are still relevant if you belong to GESY? My white card shows a validity end date but my S1 does not. Also, if these cards are still relevant, how do you...
