The cafe down by the harbour was refurbished over the winter with a new roof and structure built. Although it has been done to look exactly the same as the old one.

True, but in the UK the standard prescription cost is now Β£9.00 per item …………… I know which system I would rather be in!

Shane
Only parts of the U.K. In Scotland prescriptions are free.
They are free in Wales too and have been for many years.

Re: New Cyprus Driving Licence and UK Car Rental

We went back to UK on 12th March for a week and coincidentally I'd also only had my Cyprus licence for three weeks. I hire a car with Enterprise and had no problems at all. As far as proof of points is concerned I checked DVLA site a few days after surrendering my UK licence here and got a simple st...

Well that's not rocket science really is it, if you two points up but you didn't get 1.17 either.
Actually smart arse I got €1.17096 before charges and €1.16667 after charges.

I assume you are sarcastic by nature?

Re: GBP-Euro topping 1.16

Surprised to see a better exchange rate, so took advantage of it earlier today. Always use the figure after any charges rather than the one quoted for the exchange. Does Transferwise have a fixed rate or does it depend on how much is transferred? Have seen it recommended often so wonder how the ove...

I am retired and structure my income as to have no tax liability. I guess we will just stick with out Private Medical Insurance. Still a lot of questions remain una...
