Assuming that you mean 1000 euors per month, I would have thought that they would not get residency on that amount. If they are as you say middle aged, and so not retired they will not have an S1 certificate. One of the requirements of immigration would be for them to have private medical insurance...

Survive on 1,000euros a week in Cyprus?

Some friends of ours own a property here in Paphos and are considering a permenant move from the UK .
The question they are asking me,and others of course is could they have a comfortable living here with an income of 1,000 euros per week.
They are middle aged with no dependants,.

Hi, I received my S1 certificate from the UK and took it to the citizens service centre, signed their form and have now received a white card in the post. Sorry josef,but as i type this i have my cherised S1 white card in front of me and at the bottom left hand side it clearly states that IT DOES expire on the 31st November.Mmmmm,or have i got something wrong.
