Re: Traffice camera leaflets

Greek, Turkish and English are all official languages of Cyprus and forms should be available in all 3 also since Cyprus is in the EU (Unlike the UK) it has to be made available in Brail and several other languages dependent on the form.

Re: Speeding fines

If the car is not taxed for 3 years the registration is deleted and before you can tax or drive the car it has to be re registered.

You have to transfer ownership in Cyprus as you can only tax the car if it's in your name and with insurance in your name.

Re: Quotes without VAT

Yes retail prices in the EU must show a total including any VAT though the VAT may be shown separately or just a final price. However trade businesses can quote before VAT so for instance if you go to the Home market it will show the total price with VAT but if you go to a builders merchant it may q...

Re: Sterling cheque

I banked a Sterling cheque at the Alpha bank, they posted the cheque to the bank in the UK and asked them to transfer the money by BAC's back to Cyprus, the UK bank charged £60, sent the monies in Euros at a very bad rate so I lost about 10% of the value and then to top it all Alpha bank charged me ...

Re: Question on car tax

I once had to tax my car at the Ministry of Transport and they would not do it, I visited 3 times and they insisted I had to be a resident of Cyprus to own a car in Cyprus, I had to pay the Cypriot guy on the corner opposite Papantonio in Paphos, he had no problem. I have owned a car in Cyprus since...

Re: Vaccination? Embarassing get out of this one.

Just think about it Dominic, you are told there is a Virus that will probably be with us for the rest of your life, would you hide for the rest of your life or would you try and live your life as normal but as safely as you can? tens of thousands of vulnerable British people were told to shield last...

Re: Vaccination? Embarassing get out of this one.

SO you think these people should lock themselves up in a safe house for the next 10 years????

I think you will find they will live their life as best as they can, will go out probably keep a good space when possible.

I know a few of them, any of them could have been in the bar.

They passed a retrospective law that makes it a requirement for any pharmaceutical company fulfil all EU contracts before they can export anything. They are using this law to steal other peoples vaccines.
