On the old system you could decide when to buy the currency once the sterling was in your account, now you have to accept the rate even before the Sterling is there, the customer has lost control of the transaction

These UK politicians keep coming on carrying on about cases dropping etc but none of them mention that testing has reduced from 1.3 -1.4 million to 800,000 .

Just got the Electric bill for Nov/Dec, €13.87 discount to help pay the bill, then the bummer €87.29 fuel adjustment,the actual cost for electricity used was €68.88, time they have adding anything they can think of it’s in excess of €200?

I read that people are saying that the Cypriot Govt doesn’t want all and sundry voting in the local elections, it’s seems quite easy if you pay village or town taxes you should be allowed to vote locally if you don’t you cannot vote, seems simple, I just don’t feel part of the village community anym...

We pay the annual tax for running our village, but now we have no say as to who spends it, we have been here 14 years and have always voted in the municipality elections.

My wife told the surgeon’s secretary that she had arranged to have a test done at Medicare, cost €50, no ,no she said you go to the General for test the Government will pay, they will call you, her procedure is being carried out thro GESY

I was a currency broker for 15 years I take an interest in the currency market, its not being pedantic, 40/50 point movement in the currency is significant, especially if you happen to be exchanging sterling for euros, as far as I am concerned that’s the end of it.

It will fluctuate Companies will need to buy or sell Euros which they will put through Banks dealing rooms, these dealing rooms will be speculating throughout the day as where they think Sterling / Euro will be going with the information they receive
