For a while now we have been meaning to place another geocache in the Akamas. We first checked out the location, above Avakas Gorge, last summer. We went back a few months later to check the coordinates, and now, finally, the cache is live. While we were doing this, I naturally took some pictures...
Read the article and chat about it below...

What a nice blog again, Dominic. What is the next step to find a more difficult position for a cache as you are 50 now? May I suggest as maximisation for a good hiding place the middle of the rock in that video? But it won't be that good for a picnic.

Scary stuff, Dominic! You need to be pretty fearless, good at finding your way and have a goats ability to balance!
I hope that anyone thinking of trying to find your cache has similar abilities... it doesn’t seem to be that easy to rescue an injured walker or climber from cliffs like those.

When you place a cache, you have to give it two ratings out of 5; difficulty and terrain.
This cache had a difficulty rating of 2, which means it is easy to find when you get to the location.
However, it has a terrain rating of 4, which means that it is difficult to get to the cache. A terrain rating of 5 would mean you need specialist equipment.

This was the original youtube clip I posted. If you are going to look for the cache look away...
